At long last, Microsoft has given plug-ins for Windows Live apps their own home. You'll now find enhancements for Photo Gallery, Movie Maker, and Live Writer at plugins.live.com -- rather than at gallery.live.com, where they were nestled in amongst the sidebar and sideshow gadgets.
The new site makes it easier to search for and browser plug-ins, though it's only helpful in the Live Writer ...

It was pretty clear from the get-go that Windows Phone 7 would integrate tightly with Microsoft's Live services, and today we've got another glimpse at one way that integration will work.

Hotmail remains one of the most popular Web-based email providers around, second only to Yahoo Mail in most countries. In tech circles, however, Hotmail seems to struggle to escape GMail's geek-friendly shadow. That's all about to change though: Microsoft is bringing a slew of features that match and even surpass GMail in some areas.
First, push email support for mobile phones (including iPhone ...

As promised (or perhaps threatened), Microsoft has launched its latest effort to extend its desktop software dominance online. It's sort of like Google Pack, but with nothing but Microsoft software. So what do you get with the Windows Live installer? Windows ...
