Adobe, in yet another move to shift its eggs into other baskets, has released an experimental Flash-to-HTML5 converter called Wallaby.
The tool doesn't do much at the moment -- it just exports the assets used in the Flash project, and uses HTML and CSS to lay them out. It also creates a custom JavaScript library which seems to handle animation (but we couldn't get animation to work), and ...

Microsoft Outlook lets you export your notes, but your file type choices are pretty limited. The same can be said for Evernote's import feature, which only handles its own export files or Microsoft OneNote 2007 or newer. Thankfully, a gent named Richard was kind enough to point us toward a script he created to make moving notes from Outlook to Evernote as easy as possible.
Download his ...

Easeus Partition Master has always been a great little app. It's a powerful yet easy-to-use disk partitioning tool that makes managing your hard disks a breeze. Better still, it runs right in Windows -- handy for people like me who always miss the 'Press F11 for boot menu' prompt. There was one big downside to the free version, however: it didn't support 64-bit versions of Windows.
That's all ...

Today I had a quick play with the Google Docs drawing tool. It's awesome, but yet there's a strong chance that you didn't even know it existed! Just head over to docs.google.com > Create New > Drawing and give it a go. Don't forget to Insert > Image -- a whole wealth of Google Images await your artistic meddling! Poke around with the tools; they're very easy to use.
OK, drawn ...

CSS Grid Builder is a neat tool for Web designers (from ZURB, the company behind Notable). So what's a CSS grid?
CSS Grids are often used by Web designers to control page layout and position elements in a somewhat sensible fashion. Grid Builder lets you specify what sort of grid you would like to have and spits out just the CSS you need.
The top section of the window has a simple form to fill out ...

I spend a lot of time during the work week removing malware from customers' computers. So whenever I happen upon a new malware cleanup app, I make it a point to put it through the paces. Better tools make my job easier, after all.
Today I'm checking out Norton Power Eraser -- a free, portable malware cleanup tool from the folks at Symantec. I had tried to test earlier beta versions of NPE, but ...

Scanner lets you visualize disk space usage using a futuristic-looking, color-coded pie chart. Having tested it, I must say it does not come close in usefulness (or even visual appeal, but that's subjective) to WinDirStat, which is my go-to for this type of thing.
Pros:
Once scanning is done, navigation is very snappy.
It looks nice!
Easily remove unwanted files using the context menu ...

Surfing and buying online just got a little better with Mozilla and eBay. The two companies have just released a special eBay targeted version of the Firefox browser with the little help of an Addon. The new Mozilla Firefox eBay edition has a few add-ons that make this browser unique:

Since its introduction, TinyURL more or less became the de-facto standard tool for shortening URLs to share across the web. You put a long URL in, you get a shortened version back, and everyone's happy - everyone, that is, except Chris Pirillo. As if already being a 'net celeb and go-to guy for all sorts of web culture and computer support, he's also consistently near the top of the Twitterholic ...

Could Google be developing a PowerPoint and Keynote killer? Looks like it might be in testing mode from the code that both the Google Operating System blog, and TechCrunch have reported on. It's a perfect choice for Google to add to its "non-office" suite of products. The code name appears to be Presently, and could have possibly been in the works by Writely before it was purchased by Google. We ...
