In news that will no doubt shake the very bedrock of your belief system, Apple has asked Toyota to remove its Scion theme and its advertising from ModMyi, a Cydia repository. The Scion theme has been available for weeks, but after it received a ton of press in the last couple of days, Apple finally lashed out.
It's not like we should be surprised, considering Apple has claimed in the past ...

WordPress has just announced the introduction of a 'pure HTML5' iPad-optimized theme. It has been automatically activated for all 18 million WordPress.com blogs, and self-hosted WordPress.org users can download and install the plug-in manually.
The iPad-optimized layout, which was developed with tablet publishing specialist OnSwipe, supports touch interactions, swiping, rotation and 'many other ...

Roman Nurik has done it again. Nurik created the Android theme for Google Chrome, which has long been one of the most popular entries in the Chrome Extensions Gallery. Now he's released the next logical progression, a 'holographic' Honeycomb theme.
With inspiration taken from Android 3.0, Nurik's latest dumps the PCB pattern for diagonal stripes and blue-on-blue geometrics on the new tab page. ...

So much for Firefox 4 already being feature-frozen! It now looks as though several additional changes may land before the final release of Firefox 4 lands in early 2011. Among them: tabs in the title bar.
As with Google Chrome, your tabs will only move to the topmost area of the window when maximized. The feature has yet to be delivered to the Firefox 4 nightly builds, but you can download ...

By now, I hope you've felt the early rumblings of an HTML5 revolution. It's still early days, however; most HTML5 sites are tests, or niche Web apps that only a small fraction of surfers will use. What HTML5 really needs is a huge, pipe-hitting champion; a website that grabs HTML5 by the gonads and slams it down front and center. A champion such as WordPress, for example, which has just released ...

Dubbed with the disgustingly politically correct name "Eerie Autumn," you can now enjoy a ton of creepy wallpapers and sounds for the entirety of this hallowed season.
The wallpaper images vary in quality -- some of them look like amateur attempts with point-and-click cameras -- but with 15 images to select from, there should be more than enough to sate your ghoulish urges.
This is also the ...

Microsoft continues pumping out personalization options for Windows 7 users, and this one's a beaut. From blogger Mike Swanson comes a collection of 16 gorgeous nature photographs assembled into a single themepack.
Unlike some of the other collections I've downloaded, this one is top-notch when it comes to quality -- images are 1920x1200 and they look fantastic on my 23" Acer LCD.
Got ...

Just because we're all agog over the new Firefox 4.0, that doesn't mean there's a lack of action on the 3.6 front. In fact, SmallringFX DARKBlue is a dark, sexy theme that was updated just yesterday.
Personally, I like my Firefox as "chromeless" as possible (see what I did there?). But seriously, I hide the menu bar, the bookmarks toolbar, and any other toolbars that I happen to have lurking ...

I don't know if it's the existence of this theme which makes me queasy or the fact that I'll probably have to stare at this on a system I'm repairing sometime soon. Probably the latter.
And my sincerest apologies for sharing this with you, but it's one of those "Dude this taste like crap. Here, try some." situations.
Got my hands up. They're playing my song. And now I'm going to be OK. It's ...

I've asked about this before, and I'll pose the question one more time: if you're not going to put Chrome themes where the other Chrome themes go, shouldn't you at least create a category, Google?
Google has introduced half a dozen new official Chrome themes, but you won't find them if you click the get themes link on your Personal Stuff menu. No, like the scores of user-created themes out ...

If you've used Kubuntu (or any other Linux distro which features KDE), you may have found yourself wishing you could easily install the default Oxygen icon theme on your Windows machine. Well, you can -- using Win Themer!
Download Win Themer and run it (you may need to right-click and run as administrator on Vista or Windows 7), and the Windows defaults will be swapped out for their Oxygen ...

So, you want to change the look of Google Chrome, but you're not happy with the options available in the official Themes Gallery? Well, I've got good news for you: there are plenty of good themes available elsewhere.
In fact, there are loads of themes in the Google Chrome Extensions Gallery. Wait, what? Yes, I know -- a theme is not an extension. Sure, they're the same file type (.CRX), but ...

Not everyone appreciates when a favorite application switches to a new default theme. Take Google Chrome, for example, which recently switched from blue to gray. The change is pretty subtle, but Chrome enthusiasts are the kinds of users who like their desktop to look just so -- and when they like something, they'd rather it not change.
Do you want the original blue theme back? That's not a ...

We (or some of us at least) celebrated Earth Day last month. As the name suggests, it's all about inspiring both awareness and appreciation for our beloved blue-green planet Earth. Bing, of course, celebrated the day in the only way it knows how... lots and lots of pretty photos!
Microsoft has compiled the winners from four age groups (seriously, some of these photos are taken by 5-year-olds!) ...

I just glanced at the world weather forecast and it seems, somehow, that it is sunny EVERYWHERE. Unless you're reading this in India or China, in which case the sun has already set -- but that's beyond the point! It looks like summer is finally here (unless you're in Australia, but it never gets cold there, so who cares) -- and with the balmy heat, a slew of new releases have been ejected from ...
