Google has begun rolling out a new version of its cross-site navigation bar. Google's search tools still get top billing, with Gmail sliding in just before the more menu -- which is where you'll have to go to find your Reader link. Elements have a bit more padding now as well, which will make them more finger-friendly on your Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet (or other touchscreen device). Another ...

Opera has announced yet another integration deal with a major OEM. This time, it's with chip maker Qualcomm which will begin shipping the Opera Mobile 10 and Opera Mini 5 browsers as part of its Brew platform for mobile phones. I admit it -- I'm not much of a Recycle Bin user. Usually if I press the delete key on my Windows system I'm also holding down the shift key for instant vaporization. If, however, you enjoy the safety net that the Recycle Bin provides and you're using Windows 7, you really should check out RecycleBinEx.
It's made by the same developers who created FCleaner -- a very capable CCleaner ...

When Yahoo! released its new Yahoo! Pulse profile pages and took Facebook integration to the extreme, you might have thought "This is great for my news feed, but what about photos?" No worries, my photo-loving chum! Yahoo!'s Flickr photosharing service basically got married to Facebook a few days ago, so your days of having to upload albums to both sites are through!
Your public Flickr photos ...

Sure, this is an expected development seeing as Google has been snapping up VoIP companies and expanding Google Voice, but it's still awesome news. Alex Chitu of Google OS has reported that they're in the process of testing full-on Voice integration in Gmail.
When I noticed the UI tweaks in Gmail chat yesterday, I suspected something was up. Right now, it's mostly cosmetic. Soon enough, ...

Like many of you who use Google Chrome and Chromium, I'm not a big fan of the Aero Peek thumbnail support. I actually prefer one-click access to my browser from the taskbar (rather than having to hover, pick a tab preview, and then click into it).
Citing usability issues, the latest Chromium nightly builds have switched off support for Aero Peek. Said Chromium developer Hinori Bono, it will ...

In a completely unrelated Yahoo! Mail Blog post about Valentine greetings, the developers at Yahoo might be hinting (inadvertently?) at social network integration in the pipeline.
It's just a screenshot, but 'My Social Networks' doesn't seem to exist on current Yahoo email accounts, nor does it make an appearance in the Application Gallery -- so what is it?
My guess is that Yahoo are about ...

If you're fortunate enough to be running Windows 7, you have probably already noticed its best new feature: the new reworked quick-launch-cum-easy-access-taskbar -- or 'Superbar' as I like to call it. What you might not have noticed is that some applications now have new context menus if you right-click them on the Superbar. Usually these menus have quick-access links to documents you've recently ...

If you use Google Apps on your domain, you can share and collaborate with other users through a new service called Socialwok. It enables sharing calendars, docs, spreadsheets and presentations amongst accounts, and adding media from other sites like YouTube and SlideShare. It also offers Facebook-like activity streams, and lets you publish to Twitter, FriendFeed, Facebook or LinkedIn. Socialwok ...

Tumblr announced some big new developments they're working on. The first is an improvement to an existing feature, Tags. Now, tagged posts automatically generate #hashtags (much like the Twitter system) that collect similar posts into a group. The hashtags are displayed below your post and link to a page containing other posts with the same tag.
Because there's 650,000+ posts being published ...

The trend of using Twitter for absolutely everything doesn't show signs of stopping. Tweetboard, the latest hot Twitter add-on, inserts Twitter as a comment system for your website. Conversation on the site is posted (neatly threaded, of course) in an expandable sidebar, and a user's comments also post to their Twitter account. To make it easier for people who are reading these tweets outside ...

![Google and Salesforce.com announce Google Apps integration]()
Salesforce for Google Apps goes live today, which basically means that Salesforce.com users can integrate Google Docs, Spreadsheets, Calendar, Gmail, Google Talk and other Google services with their Salesforce account. Why exactly does this matter? Basically, it gives small business owners a one-stop shop for managing their workforce, customer, and marketing information. Saleforce has its own ...

Myspace, which acquired photo-sharing powerhouse Photobucket back in May, now allows users to easily insert their Photobucket pictures into Myspace comments. To take advantage of this feature, just login to Myspace and attempt to comment on another user's profile. When the comment box appears, enter your witty, extremely original comment, then click the "Add image from Photobucket" link. You'll be ...

After the recent acquisition from Yahoo!, I only just got around to checking out MyBlogLog (My profile shows me registering on 1/26/2007). These days, most social services integrate with the Flickr API, so I thought nothing of it when I saw that I could set that up. However, according to a post on Mashable!, it looks like this is a shiny new feature (we love those here). Further investigation ...

Blogger and Flickr are not so strange bed-fellows now that Flickr has support for the new Blogger in beta. This is great news for Flickrites (Flickr user) and Bloggerites (Blogger user) alike. It really does help to be both for this to work, just for your information. Flickr uses a secure authentication method and updated their software so it would work with Blogger's new version. You must allow ...
