When Yahoo announced it was ready to wash its hands of Delicious, panicked users began looking for alternative places to send their cloud bookmarks. Delicious, however, responded quickly and said there was nothing to worry about -- the service was still being maintained and your bookmarks didn't need to be rescued from a burning building.

Microsoft Outlook lets you export your notes, but your file type choices are pretty limited. The same can be said for Evernote's import feature, which only handles its own export files or Microsoft OneNote 2007 or newer. Power users (like our own Erez Zukerman) will tell you that Google Docs Spreadsheets don't have nearly the same chutzpah that Excel does -- not for really complex work, anyway. Still, Google keeps plugging away and adding features... Like better import options!
Docs now supports custom delimiters and an inline preview pane for imported data. While you may not find the addition useful, it's the ...

Curiously, only the Droid fonts show up in the Google Font Directory, but whether that's for licensing reasons or not I don't know. Perhaps it just hasn't ...

Posterous, as I'm sure you're all aware, is the supremo light-weight blogging platform. Not only is it fantastically easy to use, but it's also the king of flexibility and interoperability -- you can post to your blog via email, bookmarklet, mobile phone and even Twitter! If you thought Facebook ruled your social life before, wait until you see the new options for event and app invites. It prompts you to select Facebook friends, and then to import the email addresses of your friends who don't have Facebook. That means your friends might be inviting you to all kinds of stupid stuff via email, even if you're not on Facebook.
The new contact import feature can get ...

Between address books and buddy lists, our contacts have become some of the most important data that we deal with every day. Mozilla understands this, so they've introduced an experimental Contacts add-on that gathers up your contacts from multiple sites -- so far it's Twitter, Gmail and Apple's Address Book -- and collects them in a browser-based contacts database. That way, your contacts stay ...

For a while now, new Gmail users have been able to import messages and contacts from email accounts on other services like Yahoo or Hotmail. If you had an older Gmail account, though, you were left out in the cold with no import tool. Now the Gmail team is solving that problem by making importing available to everyone. You can find the option to import in your Gmail settings, under "Accounts and ...

It's pretty simple to set up your Gmail to forward to Yahoo!, Hotmail or whatever other email account you might have, but not all of your other email accounts have a way to export contacts and messages to Gmail. The Gmail team has taken matters into its own hands and added new import settings that make it easy to switch to Gmail. Now you can bring your contacts and mail from Yahoo!, Hotmail, ...
