If you upload a lot of photos from your iPhone to Dropbox, you know it's kind of a pain in the butt. Opening the Dropbox app and then individually transferring each photo takes quite some time, and there's no batch photo select option available. Following in the footsteps of Apple's Remote app for the iPhone and Apple TV, Google has released an iOS version of its official Google TV remote app that made its debut for Android back in December last year.
The app functions in exactly the same way as its Android brother, with the same interface, voice search, gestures and a plethora of buttons. In fact, the only thing that stands out as ...

Flickr has announced that visitors who browse the site using an iPad can now view photos using a lightbox-style viewer. On any photo page, simply tap the picture you'd like to view and the background will darken and the higher-resolution image will load in the foreground.
It's a subtle change, but one which definitely makes browsing Flickr on an iPad a more enjoyable (and efficient) ...

Yesterday's rather shocking finding that the Nexus S loads Web pages 52% faster than the iPhone 4 has turned out to be a sham.
Apple has lashed out at Blaze Software, the company behind the test, saying: "Their testing is flawed. They didn't actually test the Safari browser on the iPhone. Instead they only tested their own proprietary app, which uses an embedded Web viewer that doesn't ...

Angry Birds, everyone's favorite casual gaming juggernaut, has just been updated to version 1.5.3 for iOS. In 'yet another blistering update' the Birds conclude their adventures in the Frontier Badlands with 15 new levels 'each more challenging than the next.' There's also another Golden Egg to be had too, and it's apparently 'good, band and ugly' all in one deliciously difficult to obtain ...

DropVox for iOS is a neat app that only aims to do one simple thing, and does it very well. It lets you record voice memos on your iDevice, and instantly uploads them to your Dropbox cloud storage. DropVox records using the M4A extension.
Using the app is as simple as it should be. Upon first launch, you link it to your Dropbox account, after which you just start recording whenever you feel ...

The mobile app marketplace is exploding; there are now hundreds of thousands of apps on the iOS, Android and BlackBerry app markets. Heck, even Windows Phone 7 just crossed the 10,000 mark!

WordPress for iPad and iPhone has always been usable, if somewhat clunky and unstable. Version 2.0 made huge leaps in both interface and reliability, and it's been getting a tiny bit better with each new version. Browser bragging rights are kind of a big deal right now, and Android has just received a nice feather in its cap from Ottawa-based Blaze. The company ran a battery of head-to-head tests pitting the iPhone 4 running iOS 4.3 against current top-end Android devices running 2.2 Froyo and 2.3 Gingerbread.
The results: Android's browser posted faster load times on 84% of the 45,000 pageviews. On ...
