Dec 30th 2009 12:22AM One other little gripe I have about RR, going back to her show (one of what, a dozen?) where she travels around and tells you how to eat on a budget is that she's not a good tipper. Yeah, she's trying to save money, but that inevitably included leaving very meager tips. I've never worked as a server, but I know they work hard for those tips. Encouraging people to tip $1.22 on a $15 tab (a made up example, but you get the point ) is not very nice in my book.
Want a Windows XP style start menu and Explorer in Windows 7? Try Classic Shell (Download Squad)
Dec 27th 2009 7:18PM I'm in my first few days of using Win 7. My initial response is that a classic style menu is needed to supplement the new start menu search. The issue is organization. Under most circumstances, using the quick start or the search is perfect, but sometimes I like to browse my programs. Having an organized system of folders like someone mentioned above (games, music, video, etc.) is what I want. Being able to easily organize programs via drag and drop is what I need. I don't know if I'll use this particular app, but I don't think it's totally a matter of being stubborn to want some of XPs functionality.
'Top Chef Vegas' - A Winner Only a Mother Could Love (Slashfood)
Dec 10th 2009 6:38PM I was hoping for Kevin as well, but he did seem to screw it up in the finals. That said, I've always felt there was much more going on behind the scenes than the viewer sees. People are eliminated because of who makes good TV, personalities, or other factors beside the quality of the food they prepared. Other times, the judges seem to go back and forth between judging people solely on the food they prepared for that particular challenge and viewing their performance as a whole over the course of the season. It has a corrupt feeling to it all. That's why I'm not shocked by Bryan not winning. The producers have some agenda that Michael obviously fit. It's the most glaring flaw that the otherwise solid show suffers from.
