May 27th 2007 4:03PM E-mailing 20MB? This one never ceases to amaze me. At work people are constantly saying "why won't the mailserver let me send this 10/100/1000MB file?". E-mail as a communication medium simply isn't designed for this type of file transfer. Google upping the limit won't help at all - people will just think of bigger files they want to e-mail.

Mixed Martial Arts Is Safer Than Boxing (Fanhouse Boxing Blog)

May 26th 2007 6:55PM Hats off to the guys (and girls?) who have the guts to get into a ring for an MMA competition. I fight at WTF Taekwondo tournaments in the UK, as do two of my children, but the sport employs full body armour and injuries are rare. Knockouts (although encouraged) are even rarer. Knocking out an opponent wearing armour isn't easy, but it can be done.

One-Kick Knockout in Taekwondo Competition (MMA Fighting)

May 26th 2007 6:44PM All fired up to watch and YouTube have withdrawn it :(
Generally speaking, WTF Taekwondo competitions are no more or less dangerous to the competitor than other contact sports (rugby, football etc) and I'm pretty sure serious injuries are rare, although I have seen the odd one. One competition I entered cost me a bad cut over the eye needing stitches, but this is absolutely nothing compared to the injuries I suffered during my rugby playing days!
