I live here in Providencia and would like to point out that you can't catch a flight from Providencia to Nicaragua without changing planes in both San Andres and Panama City. Geographically, Providencia is close to Nicaragua - in terms of travel time, it's a long long way though.
Well done for helping to dispel the myth that Colombia's a dangerous country to visit.

A better way to phrase it is Chimborazo is the furthest point from the centre of the earth - not the nearest point to the moon!
