Switching your family and friends to Linux (Download Squad)
May 17th 2007 12:09PM When it came time for yet another XP reinstall on my wife's not-very-old Dell laptop, I switched her to Kubuntu (KDE is much better for Win users, I think). She occasionally reboots to XP to play Kyodai (nothing in Linux comes close), but the several Linux solitaires have minimized that. We both have used OpenOffice for years in both Windows and Linux, so that was no problem. OO is great for docs, sheets, and presentations.
