Windows Mobile "crossbow" in the wild? (Engadget)

Oct 9th 2006 3:18PM Thing is, I doubt this is real. Note that the 'Owner Information' section of the Today Screen is right next to the MSN icon... Also I doubt that Microsoft would choose turquoise as a glossy colour, they'd rather go for Vista grey.

Microsoft's Origami project (Engadget)

Feb 26th 2006 8:10AM to Trumad: Microsoft aren't as bad as many people think. Their software is doing quite well (certainly financially); while Windows has a few bugs it really is quite good. Office is without true competitors (OOo is close but not quite there yet) and in the past year or two they've become far more open - just look at the whole MSDN blogs system. Also, the Xbox is a great console, and apparently the only evidence you've got that it's not is a few videos of geeks on the web.

As for the gamecube/xbox thing, there are a number of explanatory factors - the Xbox 360 is new, the Gamecube is a Nintendo product, which is a better-known games brand than MS, and the Xbox 360 currently has few games that appeal to the japanese market.

Finally, how does the fact that they're late in releasing a portable device mean that they're wrong? Clearly they've been waiting for the right time to release such a device; moreover it's quite different (as you can clearly see from the video and pics) to the PSP and DS.

Please spare us the irrational 'I hate M$ for the sake of it' rubbish in future.

Microsoft's Origami project (Engadget)

Feb 26th 2006 6:54AM Found out something interesting...

Go to d-kitchen.com, then press Enter, then Work, then Brandtheatre, then Microsoft Origami...

Interestingly the device seems to run a modded version of XP (possibly similar to tablet) but the video suggests that it's faster and easier to use with one hand.
