Yahoo Messenger added to Mail Beta (Download Squad)

Feb 16th 2007 1:12AM No, you don't need to install anything. When your account is upgraded (by us) you'll be all set. We're rolling this out slowly because mail has many more users than Messenger does, so we want to ramp up the traffic so we make sure that Messenger isn't crushed under the load of new users.

The feature works great in Firefox. The screencast I did was using Firefox 2.0.0.1.

Yahoo Messenger added to Mail Beta (Download Squad)

Feb 12th 2007 7:52PM Thanks Brad! I did the screencast on my underpowered Centrino TabletPC (around a 1.5GHz if I remember correctly). The interface still looks that snappy with it running the screencast software (Camtasia) and Yahoo! Mail Beta, so I think you'll be pleased with the performance.

One thing I'd love to point out is that Yahoo! Mail Beta is not susceptible to this particular attack.

Apr 11th 2006 11:34PM Check out the map of California on Y! and Google. It's interesting to note that Google's is a big patchwork of images from different satellites while the Y! map looks much nicer, like it was all taken at the same time.
