Feb 16th 2011 1:03PM @Sebastian Anthony ahhh its taking too much time to vote in this pool with firefox, better just use chrome to vote for firefox
Aug 25th 2010 6:39PM yeah, and with talks about paid extensions, fremium extensions, extensions with ads, it doesnt look so good...and yeah you are totally right, on chrome and a lot of users use the developer/beta versions and there is never the fear of compatibility... when firebug (not complete), greasemonkey (for managing mostly) and scrapbook extensions are full time available in chrome im switching for good ^_^'
Jul 24th 2010 5:35AM ohhh just one more thing... how about spending your time making the browser quicker to load and move and use... that would make people more productive, i still have to way full minutes while my firefox loads or opens new tabs... that would be revolutionary and a way better user experience than any tab candy.
Jul 24th 2010 5:33AM this isnt revolutionary at all... come on there are good plugins that manage tabs on firefox, besides people like me that do open a lot of tabs if they want to organize them, they open new windows and put the tabs there, way simpler to work with and organize, not "hiding tabs inside the browser"... what is easier? having 3 firefox windows with different tabs and you go from one window to another (1 click) or having hidden tabs inside your firefox where you need to go to the view and then choose (2 clicks)... this is a nice concept but should be just a plugin...also yeah chrome and opera manage tabs better and also new windows/tabs better as well...
Jul 14th 2010 11:59AM opendns has some protections as in phishtank still not completely malware, its free cause probably they are going for the same business as opendns, to reedirect your dns queries to pages that have search when dns is down or pages that tell you why they blocked, both with ads, i see the point, but i like my dns to give errors when it hits a block, or a server is down, but i do see the plus side for newbies...besides i like my malware protection to be automated (like in google malware protection) or managed by non-profit groups (like hphosts), not by companies.
Jul 13th 2010 9:53AM i have windows xp and windows 7, my gaming machine still uses windows xp cause its quicker and way more stable, i dont understand all this hate for windows xp, you are talking like you are a microsoft rep, ohh wait those are saying its ok to hang onto windows xp, weird...., sure windows xp is old and not that glistening, but well i've always disabled windows xp themes and use just the plain mode and after some tweaking windows xp is a powerhouse of stability and performance, even compared with windows 7 where a lot of the systems you dont really need CANT be disabled...also with all of this (vista, 7...), my laptops are all running linux with wine and windows xp virtualized for a couple of games and programs, cause linux gives me better performance for my hardware, ohhh right i should use windows 7 virtualized... please... gimme a break, windows 7 is WAY better than vista, but its still a bit of a long way to beat windows xp performance/customization, especially if you know what you are doing.
Jun 1st 2010 9:21AM this post makes little sense, especially the commentary to the news, the fact is, its not google's fault that google might have old microsoft software, its microsofts fault for not properly securing their own software, old as it may be, yes cause older mac osx and older linux software is still pretty secure... by using mac osx or linux they have a clearer and cheaper upgrade path, if newer microsoft windows/software licenses were cheaper im sure google would just upgrade everything, i guess they will still keep thousands of microsoft windows for testing and software building for windows, this seems to be only for the day to day and non-windows related computing.
May 31st 2010 12:52PM just put tcr.tynt.com on your hosts file :\
May 25th 2010 12:22PM yeah its cool, but unlike diaspora, appleseed has been around for a long time, why would we help a developer that had basically quit the project and let it hang for years and now just cause a similar one step up, he decides to ride that wave...hummm not too sure if i trust such a developer...
Save your tabs and Panorama tab groups in Firefox 4
