GM, OnStar announce 'Push On' sweepstakes (Autoblog)

Mar 16th 2011 2:21AM Woo mail in entries are also accepted.

If I do end up winning, I'll have a very hard time deciding between the CTS-V Wagon and Coupe.

I love fast wagons more than anything (my current 2 car dream garage is a 1995 Volvo 850 T5-R Estate + 2010 Audi RS6 Avant), but I do honestly think the CTS-V Coupe is the most beautiful under-100k car money can buy today.

DriveMeCrazy app provides outlet for virtual tattle-tales (Autoblog)

Dec 19th 2010 7:58PM Oh, and one more thing.

I have an iPhone 3G. The app takes ages to load. Then when it comes time to press your one big button, it doesn't respond. Then when it finally does it takes ages to figure out what I'm saying.

I tried that in my bedroom just now. Had I been behind the wheel, constantly checking if its ready for voice input or whatever, I would probably have crashed by now. Not to mention forgot the plate number of whoever I was reporting.

Look, save the money spent on developing this, and send your kids to an advanced driving school. At least they'll be better drivers.

Dec 19th 2010 7:54PM Less distracting than calling 911? Riigghhhtttt.

According to you, its all voice driven. You're talking to a computer that has to record the information. So you have to check the screen constantly to make sure its got the right plate number, location, car color, etc....
How is that safer than calling 911 from my hands free system, and telling an operator of a drunk driver in a blue Camry, never once taking my eyes off the road. If the operator didn't hear what color, she will ask again. I don't have to look at a screen to make sure she got blue and not black.

What exactly are they going to do with that information.
