MobileMe may be Apple's least "green" product, packaging-wise (TUAW.com)

Oct 29th 2010 7:36AM They could easily do it using a card the same as iTunes credit, at least then any1 buying it as a gift has something to give the other person.

Totally agree that at the moment the packaging is a waste. You look at it and expect to find a CD/DVD inside, then find a few bits of paper

Apple's discussions site redirected for some (TUAW.com)

Aug 14th 2010 4:13PM just worked normally for me.

I'm in the UK using O2 as my provider. Tried it on Safari and Firefox on my mac - not been on the site recently so didn't have it in my cache

Hackintosh-friendly Dell Mini 10v discontinued (TUAW.com)

Apr 14th 2010 5:07PM It's still listed on the UK site as available.

I'm thinking about buying a netbook, and this could now be top of the list

Orange to start UK iPhone sales on November 10 (TUAW.com)

Oct 24th 2009 7:52PM Yep, the O2 3G signal might not be the best, but I've always been able to make and receive calls even when other people have not had signal and the building is known for having poor reception.

What do you want, decent 3G signal, or the ability to make and receive calls/texts.

EyeTV app removed from the App Store over streaming workaround (TUAW.com)

Oct 17th 2009 12:52PM I agree,

The iPhone is being sold world wide, why are they only listening to one carrier.

Surely they could just pull it from the US store and leave it in the others - theres other content only available in the US so why not the other way round.

Why does AT&T have any say what is allowed in a world wide store - surely they should only have a say on the US store which is the only one that will affect them.

UK watchdog bans 'really fast' iPhone TV ads (TUAW.com)

Nov 26th 2008 3:15PM I'm not surprised.

But the new ads are just as bad. The new ones aim to show how quick and easy it is to download from the apps store - but actually states that steps have been removed and speeded up in the advert.

If they are going to show something it should at least be real. Other ads are great. Shows a set of hands playing a game, then after a few seconds that person moves off screen and another person is revealed. This goes on and on with around 20 sets of hands/iPods.

TUAW Review: MacTrak Theft Recovery Software (TUAW.com)

Nov 18th 2008 6:46PM I've just tried the iPhone version of the software and I'm not very impressed.

I have a 3G iPhone in the UK and it is locating me around a mile away from my house, and in different directions. This despite it asking several times if it can use my location.

If the iPhone version of the software using GPS can't locate my Phone, how is it going to locate my laptop if that is stolen???

MacBook pricing and part numbers? (TUAW.com)

Oct 14th 2008 5:09AM Someone else has already said there are in fact 12 price points going to be announced at the event. This list has no new price points.

These might all be correct, but I think there will also be more announced as well - this could simply be the ones that BestBuy are going to stock, not the full lineup - which would also explain why some of the numbers don't match up, the K and M etc.

New Apple Store for Liverpool (TUAW.com)

Jul 22nd 2008 3:54PM dam apple,

I'm from Liverpool but unable to go to the opening because I'm away.

There is so much more to Liverpool than The Beatles.

iPhone 2.0 and iPod touch 2.0 released officially (Engadget)

Jul 11th 2008 6:37AM I installed the 2.0 upgrade on my iPhone and it worked fine, no problems at all.

I'm using a mac, not a PC, but not sure if that makes a difference.
