Apple telling reps to smooth over iPhone 4 reception complaints, not to offer free bumpers? (Engadget)

Jun 29th 2010 9:19PM Based on the iSupply figures showing that before labor it cots them $188 to manufacture these, the margin is very thin, especially for Apple, so giving away free bumper cases would be a loss leader, which would be untenable given the amount that they will sell. So this presents a problem for Apple.

It's obviously a big enough problem that Apple thought it needed to be addressed, so it is no doubt that the problems are real for a significant number of owners.

Apple, take a page from your arch rival MS and see what happened with the 360. To avoid a colossal future problem, you should take the phone off the market and fix the problem. This will take a huge amount of humility to admit this, but it really is the right thing to do, both to your reputation and bottom line.

iPhone 4 vs. EVO 4G... fight! (Engadget)

Jun 7th 2010 8:45PM @wakeup I'll give them points for the crisper, higher res screen, although they should have increased the screen size a little bit. But having more surface area, even at a lower res is quite nice, and has been something I'm enjoying on my EVO.

You know what else I enjoy about the EVO? Making phone calls...

Jun 7th 2010 8:35PM @encler Exactly. Um Engadget, this is a pretty inane poll. Give us a plain No option and I'll vote.

HTC EVO 4G review (Engadget)

May 19th 2010 11:18PM How about call quality? That has been something that has been less than stellar on the Incredible.

May 15th 2010 11:56PM I don't really see what the problem is here. Rather than go for the typical cell phone box, they've done something different. I'm sure if this box had a fruit logo on it, you guys would be saying how beautiful and innovative the box is.

A SEPTA fanboy? Now I've heard and seen it all. I'm not sure if you are actually talking about the same SEPTA, or if you are saying these things to be poignant, but they are simply wrong.

No MTA rail equipment has been purchased used from SEPTIC. The MTA purchases new equipment, and the M7's certainly are MUCH newer than the last Silverliners to roll out of the factory. If anything, remember that INEPTA has purchased USED Comet I trainsets from NJT, which are 20+ years old.
