WordPress 2.7 coming tomorrow (Download Squad)

Dec 3rd 2008 7:49PM Just to clarify, it's going live on WordPress.com tomorrow for final testing to work out all the bugs with 4.5m beta testers before releasing to WordPress.org as a download.

SXSWi Day 2 (Download Squad)

Mar 8th 2008 11:11PM I left you a message!

Dec 30th 2007 7:49PM You guys should add Gravatar support here.

Why is Seth Godin not talking about the Squidoo problem? (The Jason Calacanis Weblog)

Jul 6th 2007 3:38PM The changes listed in the blog post should help a lot. In Akismet we've been seeing a lot of Squidoo spam pages being used in comment and trackback spam. My only real wish is that there was an easy way to report it on their site.

The uninvited guest (The Brian Alvey Weblog)

Dec 21st 2006 4:52AM My system goes through Gmail first, then forwards back to me where it's run through SpamAssassin. Since Gmail takes out the bulk, SA doesn't take down my server anymore.

BTW, let me know how the Akismet testing goes. There are a couple of things that are tweakable based on the types of results you're getting. Also, if it works, will WIN blogs finally turn on trackbacks/pingbacks? ;)

Nov 20th 2006 3:35AM That will definitely take some good convincing. :)

NYTimes shuts down Real Estate blog.... (The Jason Calacanis Weblog)

Sep 27th 2006 4:30PM Most of the blogs the NY times run seem to be short-run, typically less than a year, but they start new ones just as fast.

WordPress.com announces VIP Hosting (Download Squad)

Sep 27th 2006 4:04AM The folks who we're targeting with the service are generally spending quite a bit more than 250/mo right now. If anything, we priced it too low.

Once you get 2+ servers for availability, someone to admin them, keeping up with software updates, dealing with crashes at 3 am... 250 starts to look like a bargain. (It is, which is why we're limiting signups.)

more travel........ (The Jason Calacanis Weblog)

Sep 20th 2006 6:40PM I ended up just removing the cell phone antenna from my Vaio, and I feel vaguely ripped off about signing up for the service. The form factor of the Sony is unbeatable, but I wish they had done a better wireless partnership.

WordPress.com invite surfaces on eBay - and WordPress couldn't be happier (Download Squad)

Aug 29th 2005 2:52AM Sorry, I'm a little gleeful about everything these days, the weather has been so beautiful it's hard to stay cynical. Frankly I'm surprised as anyone the invite went for over $5 and I think that really means we need to get more of them out there, so I've started seeding a few more. When the new hardware ( http://flickr.com/photos/textdriveinc/36915689/ ) is live I'll definitely be more comfortable with opening the floodgates a little more.
