Mar 22nd 2012 12:39PM urging people to use flightpaths is not the same as getting people out in to the world, especially if, as with cataclysm, there are not flightpaths near raid instances.
Mar 5th 2012 4:27AM @Twill - "Blizzard-- make farming skins less of a death wish"it's the only primary gathering profession that doesn't reward XP. Whilst i can understand why it doesn't, i can't help but think more people would pick the profession up if there were other gains to be had from it when levelling, e.g. additional XP.
Dec 19th 2011 5:48AM is it possible to equip both Wrath of Unchaining Normal, and Raid Finder? I'm assuming no.
Oct 12th 2011 7:39AM this strikes me as a bad thing, but it's no different to what you can do with the TCG card rewards. 1) buy from ebay, 2) claim in-game, 3) trade the in-game, non-BoP item for in-game gold.which fits in with the rules. Trade out-of-game item for out-of-game item. Trade in-game item for in-game item. But not out-of-game for in-game, or vice versa.
Oct 5th 2011 11:15AM @Sinderion "If there are less than four or 5 ppl around you, you almost cant be stunlocked from 100% to death. it just doesn't work that way anymore."again, going to disagree with you there. It happens a lot.. 100% stun from full health, to death. Look at some of the swifty PVP videos, he's getting single hit crits consistently above 100,000, and sometimes reaching as high as >300,000. That's after a stun, and some prior damage. That's against targets with a lot of resi as well. PvP to the point where a single person can do more than 2 times as much damage as you can have in health, when wearing PvP specific gear, is a joke. It removes skill. it makes it boring to watch. and drives people away from that aspect of the game.diminishing returns is all well and good, but it should be time based so that i cannot be immediately be stunned after coming out of a stun. Taking rogues as an example, they have plenty of mechanics to deal with getting away from a target that's coming out of a stun.. but they shouldn't immediately be able to stun me again, or to chain stun. until they do, i'm sticking to PvE, and more fairly balanced PvP oriented games. :-)
Oct 5th 2011 6:40AM I guess it is worth pointing out that so few good players raid in BM that it's very likely the stats are skewed. If you look at some of the top rankers on baleroc heroic 10man, for example, you'll see some BM players ranked - http://www.wowmeteronline.com/rank/simpleclazzdetail/dps/hnt/1955/0/1/0but as there's so few BM the top 100 probably accounts for a large portion of the active BM raiders, rather than the top 100 out of 10s of 1000s.
Oct 2nd 2011 9:59AM gonna have to disagree with you there. some classes have multiple stun-locks, and when they can use them when invisible there is no skill to using them. even with pvp trinks (which are on a much longer cooldown), there's little i can do to get out of more than one lock, no matter how good my skill or gear. it's a broken mechanic that shouldn't have gone 6 years, getting more and more broken with time.
Oct 2nd 2011 8:42AM stun-locks, especially in pvp where you can be stun-locked continually whereby you don't get any chance to fight back before dying.
Sep 21st 2011 7:40AM killing dragons is almost as much fun as slaying comment trolls, and equally as rewarding!
Sep 16th 2011 4:50AM I'm probably one of the few people that responded that I was happy with the minimum range. Although, I don't PvP very often, but still, even in PvP there are plenty of mechanics you can use to keep your distance, or slow your opponent down so you can get at range again. For me, the range issue in PvE is more about consistency. In Cataclysm we have a number of bosses where there is no minimum range, and thusly as a hunter we can stand right in their hit box and still attack them - this is fundamental for the mechanics of the fight to work, e.g. majordomo. Then there are others where we cannot stand in range, e.g. rhyolith. Now, what bugs me is inconsistency. Range is fine if it's consistent.. either keep it in, or take it away, just pick one and stick with it.for me, the biggest quality of life issue was the fact my range weapon breaks much more quickly than every other item, AND it can go from white to red in the space of a single encounter. It should never break to 0 durability in a fight.. ever!
