LG unveils 42- and 47-inch Bluetooth LH70 HDTVs in Korea (Engadget HD)

Feb 23rd 2009 3:03PM I came to say the same thing Phoenixfury said.

HD channel expansion roundup (Engadget HD)

Feb 21st 2009 5:42PM Another HD expansion post, another HD expansion post without any HD expansion by Comcast in Northern NJ.

I'm glad you condensed these to once a week so I don't have to be reminded more frequently how much HD the rest of the country has compared to here. It's a disgrace, for what we pay.

How well is the DTV switch going? Depends who you ask (Engadget HD)

Feb 18th 2009 12:01PM My grandmother, who lives outside of Philly, was responsible and prepared ahead with the appropriate DTV reception gear. Until the stations in her area (out of Philly) go all digital (presumably), she can only get 2 or 3 of the stations she liked to watch while she prepared and at dinner. Not to mention the analogs look worse, if they even come in at all.

So now she is suffering because other people who had plenty of time to prepare but chose not to were catered to.

The DTV delay has royally screwed over the only person I know who doesn't have cable or satellite. Nice work, government.

Sony's Webbie HD reviewed: cheap but not a bargain (Engadget HD)

Jan 23rd 2009 12:23PM When this guy is talking about the negatives, is he comparing it to $500+ HD camcorders or to more comparable units like the Vado or Mino?

Denon's AVR-1909 AV receiver gets reviewed, not for the faint of heart (Engadget HD)

Jan 23rd 2009 12:21PM I purchased this receiver around the holidays as it was on sale at BB, and I agree with the review. The included remote is horrible. Many of the functions are on the back of the remote under a little door. So in order to do a few simple things, you'll find yourself flipping the remote over and over and over.

As soon as I configured my Harmony remote to work with the 1909, everything was happy happy.

Windows Steady State Bulletproofs Your System (Download Squad)

Jun 30th 2008 11:17AM The only problem with Steady State is that it can cause your computer to take forever to start up. I had installed it on my PC so I could demo it for use in a computer lab, and it would take about 5 minutes after I input my Windows username/password for it to complete the logon process and start up to my desktop.

Granted, this is in a Windows domain environment, so it may be different at home, for example.

We use it in our computer lab and it works great.

Back To You producer never wanted to be on FOX anyway (AOL TV)

May 13th 2008 1:53PM Of the two, Til Death brings the funny on a regular basis, whereas Back To You is just somewhat funny on a limited basis. Til Death is the better show, and it's great to see Fox realize this.

Just because a show has veteran actors doesn't mean its any good. Remember that show from a year or two ago with John Lithgow and Jeffrey Tambor "Twenty Good Years"? Two brilliant actors, horrendous show.

The real reason why FiOS channels are compressed less (Engadget HD)

Apr 22nd 2008 2:09PM Ha ha ha... SciFi HD or History HD? I live in Northern NJ, part of the biggest DMA in North America, and I currently have Comcast. We don't have SciFi HD or History HD.

What is considered "national lineup"?
