VoiceThread - oral tradition goes Web 2.0 (Download Squad)

Dec 20th 2007 1:43AM Hey thanks for including the props at end of your post. VoiceThread has great potential, especially as an instructional/learning tool for teachers and students.

Communicating without Skype (Download Squad)

Aug 18th 2007 3:15PM How about using Gizmo instead of Skype? We use Gizmo for our podcast because it integrates recording, unlike Skype, which I believe you still have to pay for the record feature.

The only downside is that it records at 8 Khz and Garageband needs it at 44.1 Khz. So we have to use Audacity as our sound editing software. It would be great if I could find some software that let me record whatever comes across my soundcard (like say an Internet call) at 44.1 Khz.

I Forgot How to Write ! (Blog Maverick)

Aug 14th 2007 4:13AM Mark,

May I call you Mark? I would call you Mr. Cuban, but that's how I respond to Fidel's blog. :-)

I'm a middle school computer literacy teacher and basketball coach, so let me just welcome you to meeting hell.

I'm not a big meeting guy to begin with, but if I can't have some digital action at my meetings, I'm screwed. Most of what I do as a teacher is on the Internet in one form or another. Even my practice plan is in my ThinkFree account, so I can plan my practice no matter what meeting I'm in, err, I mean, no matter where I'm at.

Are you getting web clippings in your Gmail? (Download Squad)

Aug 25th 2005 2:29AM I have 4 gmail accounts and only one of them has web clippings. In fact, I had to manually load Engadget! I've had the web clippings from the time they were released and I use them a lot. As soon as I found Download Squad, I tried to enter the RSS into gmail's web clippings and it didn't recognize the feed. I haven't tried it since. Do you know if it works in gmail's web clippings?
