TomTom GPS app offers good maps, terrible interface (TUAW.com)

May 25th 2011 6:25PM I have tried several Navigation apps, and even though they were late to the game, I think the Garmin app has leaped ahead of the pack (yes ahead of Navigon and Tom Tom) to be the leader. The superb Nuvi interface is perfectly duplicated in the iPhone app. Do it.

Traveling in circles: the Navigon way (TUAW.com)

iPhone use by teens at a record high and growing (TUAW.com)

Apr 6th 2011 5:20PM 1. Apparently the 22% of teens in the Fall of 2008 never followed through with their plans to buy an iPhone.

2. Does the spring of 2010 come after the fall of 2010?

Photographer visits all national parks in United States (Gadling)

Apr 2nd 2011 4:27PM If you have an iPad you *must* go and buy the Fotopedia app with all of these photos. It's only $3 dollars.

TUAW's Daily App: Byline (TUAW.com)

Mar 28th 2011 1:33PM I have tried just about every RSS app that sync's with Google Reader and I am positive that Byline is the best. Love it on the iPad now, and love the Edit button swipe to make all as read. Great app for free or $3. I probably spend more minutes in this app everyday than any other app. Kudos.

SlingPlayer Mobile updated with video out (TUAW.com)

Feb 24th 2011 3:02PM Not sure why they are not saying this but I have read on a few forums that the composite (yellow video cable) also works. That's great for many of us that have not upgraded every TV in our lives to an HDTV. Sling....why don't you just say component and composite cables work?

Square has billboard in Times Square, still slowly delivering card readers (TUAW.com)

Feb 15th 2011 12:40PM Thanks Mr. Ayle. But I had mentioned that I have 3 people each paying $333.33. So you need to multiply your numbers by 3.

Feb 14th 2011 6:22PM Square's card processing fees are:
2.75% + 15¢ for swiped transactions
3.5% + 15¢ for keyed-in transactions

I was thinking I could collect rent money with this. Yay! But then I did the math. No!
I have three people each paying $333.33. $35.45 for keyed, and $27.95 for swiped. No way!
For $28 to $35, I'll stop by the bank. Damn!
