Converting .docx documents to .doc (Download Squad)

Sep 24th 2008 2:55PM Zamzar has saved me in this regard multiple times. As far as I know, there's no compatibility plug-in for Macs, and frankly I'm interested in becoming less reliant on MS, not more. When someone sends me a .docx file, I reply with a request for that file in a more open, compatible format and send it to Zamzar at the same time.

ABC.com goes HD, sort of (Download Squad)

Apr 3rd 2007 6:33PM ABC.com has ended up being pretty much the online online TV video we watch regularly, so I was temporarily happy when I saw the HD option a week or so ago. But when it suddenly wanted me to register & download a plugin--with no info about it that I saw--I went straight back to the old, glitchy version. It's not that I can't be bothered--more, why must I be?
