Rock(man) the vote: make Mega Man go PSP (Joystiq Playstation)

Aug 1st 2007 1:47AM Seems like we are closing in. I just voted and the PSP is about 500 votes behind the DS.

Way to go PSP Community!

Maybe now they will release a new one for both platforms and I really hope it is a Megaman Zero game.

Zero got no love on the PSP.

Rock(man) the vote: make Mega Man go PSP (Joystiq Playstation)

Aug 1st 2007 1:41AM I want a Zero game! That is the only thing I play on my GBA, the only reason I even brought the GBA was for Megaman Zero 2, 3, and 4.

For whatever reason, I never cared much for regular Megaman or Megaman X. Although an Axl game might be cool.

But I agree with everyone else, some 2-D (faux 3-D) ACTION side scrollers would be great besides retro Contra ports (especially since I never cared for Contra to begin with.)

I'm voting, no matter what the outcome, for the PSP.

Animation brings PSP to life (Joystiq Playstation)

Jul 23rd 2007 2:22AM I think it's a great commercial, they would just need to trim the fat and get to the points sooner.

The music part went on way too long as did the PS3 - PSP connectivity. The movie part was great and to the point but I don't think it helps to have the game animation showing Pong to illustrate multi-player, makes the system seem underpowered.

And the whole opening / exit animation was just excessive.

Sony should use this.

But for the record, those "Dude, Get Your Own" spots I thought were (mostly) funny.

Teens say email is like, so, last week (Download Squad)

Jul 20th 2007 2:24AM Eh, just kids following every social whim or what a group of their friends label "cool" for the moment.

Remember? Last year it was Myspace, no self respecting teen could live without it. This year it is Facebook, next year, it will be something else. The list will go on and on as they all want to fit in and be "popular."

I am so glad I made it out of my teenage years with at least half a brain cell still functioning.

Original PSP to be phased out (Joystiq Playstation)

Jul 14th 2007 2:22AM No, Don et al, I think you are wrong. If even half the current PSP owners get a new one, that is enough potential revenue to continue making third party accesories. And I really doubt they haven't read the news just like we have.

I for one AM going to pick up a new PSP primarily for the TV out.

@ Ratchet, I don't think Sony would tout this as a feature if they didn't already test and know that it will look good on your 65 inch screen. You're being overly pessimistic on that one.

I think the new PSP, in time for the holidays with improved features and the core $169.00 MSRP, will bring even more people to the PSP platform, and keep the third party accesory makers looking to sell redesigned stuff for the PSP "Lite".

They can't help not to, there's money to be made.

Nintendo planning to milk its Wii shortage through the holidays (Engadget)

Jul 13th 2007 11:33AM What, do you work for Nintendo? Thta's some serious apologist Kool-Aid your passing around.

Nintendo is lying, flat out. The Wii has been available long enough for them to "figure out supply" not to mention the company itself isn't some new upstart but the company many of us got our first taste of this whole "home gaming thing."

They are insulting everyone's intelligence by claiming they are still trying to figure out how to meet demand. This "shortage" is purposeful.

I've have had one since launch, but I'm tired of them lying and people swallowing it hook, line and sinker.

PSP Slim Lite boxart revealed (Joystiq Playstation)

Jul 12th 2007 1:51AM It looks slimmer to me. At least the shoulder buttons are the same size.

It does get hard to hold after awhile for folks with bigger hands. Still, Sony had me at Video Out.

At least September isn't that far away.

SWAT: Target Liberty E3 trailer (Joystiq Playstation)

Jul 8th 2007 11:45PM Swat is THE game I am waiting for on my PSP.

If you have ever played the PC version, there isn't a whole lot of running in SWAT unless you wanted to end up really dead, really quickly.

Can't wait.

Chu-Kana Janshi Remix - Tile matching game FTW (Joystiq Playstation)

Jul 3rd 2007 11:59PM And that would be a bad thing?

Just kidding >)

I agree with you though on at least showing a little of the actual game play.

Traxx Pad: live at the Cypher (Joystiq Playstation)

Jun 27th 2007 1:36AM Looks interesting but I'll wait to you guys get your hands on it to do an actual REVIEW as opposed to what was presented.
