Entelligence: Is Android fragmented or is this the new rate of innovation? (Engadget)

May 24th 2010 6:03AM There is no fragmentation, it's a myth created here.

99% of stuff runs on Android 1.5 or later
a handful of apps need 1.6 or later
I only know of Google Earth than needs 2.0 or later

Flash 10.1 on Froyo goes tete-a-tete with Flash Lite 4 on Eclair: butter vs. stutter (video) (Engadget)

May 24th 2010 5:53AM The HTC Hero has had Flash Lite for over a year.

Come on Engadet, keep up....

Opera 10.5's new Carakan Javascript engine is fast - Google Chrome fast. (Download Squad)

Dec 22nd 2009 10:43AM Opera 10.50 whipped the pants off Firefox, and was even faster than Chrome for me on SunSpider.

Xbox 360 Pro and Elite price cuts confirmed in Target ad for next week (Engadget)

Aug 25th 2009 4:21AM Sony aren't in a pickle at all, they aren't losing money on the hardware
either. Whilst Microsoft have been busy selling RROD consoles for the
last 4.5 years, Sony have been doing major cost savings to the PS3. The
Slim teardown is $200, so once you add retailers and distributors cuts in
there, they still make a reasonable amount of cash. (but as always, it's
the software that makes money, and Sony and 3rd party publishers are doing
very nicely on that front too, with Ubisoft, EA, Konami and Capcom all
making more from the PS3 than they do from Xbox.

As for pricing, who in their right mind would buy a RROD-box for $299, or
$250 when you can get a PS3 SLim for $299? The slims got so much more to
offer (Blu-Ray, Wifi), and the very first time you sign up to Xbox Live,
it's already costing you more than the infinitely better PS3....

As it standards, Microsoft are the ones in a jam, there has been no
engineering work done on the Xbox, it costs the same to make as it's
always done. They USED to make money on the Elite and lose money on the
Arcade, however since the last round of price cuts, they are losing money
on both.

Poll: Has your Xbox 360 been dealt the E74 error? (Engadget)

Mar 20th 2009 9:30AM Is this problem covered by the 3yr RROD warranty?

Hands-on with the PS3 2.20 update -- and now, we wait (Engadget HD)

Mar 25th 2008 5:26AM Don't be stupid. HD DVD only had primitive scripting, not full Java.

You do know the difference right??

PS3 2.20 update is out, get your BD-Live while it's fresh (Engadget HD)

Mar 25th 2008 5:25AM Don't talk nonsense. HD DVD's features pale in comparison to what BD-J can do.

You know the difference between scripting and full Java right???

PS3 firmware 2.20 bringing BD-Live interactive Blu-ray this month (Engadget)

Mar 20th 2008 7:33AM Not ready yet?? Seriously, why do Americans always want everything now, what is it with them.

I like my products fully baked, when they are ready, not the half finished stuff other manufacturers seem to release.. (you KNOW who I mean...)

So it begins: Toshiba's HD-A3 falls to $99 at Circuit City, comes with 7 free HD DVDs (Engadget HD)

Feb 20th 2008 12:41PM I can't believe people are throwing money away on obsolete tech.

That's $80 off a PS3 in my eyes...
