Apr 10th 2008 5:51PM I need one of these so I can save rainforests.

Song made from annoying Windows sounds (Download Squad)

Feb 19th 2008 6:37PM There's also a flash-based song with a nifty animation. I think it's the first one I've seen - it's been out a while.

Poll: Are you spending $20 on new iPod touch apps? (Engadget)

Jan 15th 2008 6:37PM I predict a backlash similar to the iPhone price drops. The only problem? I bet the iPod touch user base is much smaller, and thus, less likely to sway Apple.

On the upside, I've been eyeing an iPod touch for a couple weeks (that or an Eee) and I'm glad to see these features appear.

Jeep readies rugged GPS RT 300 for January release (Engadget)

Dec 8th 2007 8:31AM I just bought a late-model used Jeep, and yeah, I've been looking into buying a navigation system. A ruggedized Jeep-branded unit would be high on my list, but the styling here is too much. It's too over the top. I don't know of any current member of the Jeep brand that has an interior that is styled that aggressively. Go ahead - visit Jeep.com for yourself. Even the new Wrangler, which has a fairly rugged interior design, is more appropriate than this mess. They need to at least reduce the depth of the grooves, unless they're part of a clever mounting system. How sure is Engadget that this isn't just a generic GPS with an unlicensed Jeep logo?

Oakley's Split Thump: the relentless pursuit of fail (Engadget)

Nov 5th 2007 10:26PM The O-ROKR and O-ROKR Pro from Oakley are what a few commenters have asked for - Thump-like sunglasses with bluetooth A2DP support.

I have to defend Oakley a little for their electronic glasses. I enjoy cycling, and appreciate the ability of these products to not actually rest in the ear. You can adjust the speakers to hover outside of your ear, giving you music without blocking noises from the outside world. It's a relatively safe way of enjoying your music without riding deaf, or annoying the rest of the world.

Now, if only they were slightly less ugly.

Aug 28th 2007 8:12AM That looks like a particularly large piece of glass for such a tiny camera.
