Digsby: Manage multiple social networks, e-mail, IM accounts - 5000 invites! (Download Squad)
Feb 6th 2008 9:48PM This looks really cool, we're seeing a lot of apps trying to save us all from multiple login hell. I just saw a demo by PageOnce at the IsraelWebTour that takes this same concept - but it's not a download. It's pretty amazing, let's you load in bank accounts, netflix, all your social stuff - Facebook, Myspace, you name it. I think it's a killer app - we asked them to present at the next Under the Radar (http://undertheradarblog.com), can't wait to see else they've added by March.
Sync Google Calendar with Apple iCal via Spanning Sync (Download Squad)
Mar 14th 2007 5:51PM Glad to hear this is out of beta! Desktop sync is where it's at - it's a tough game to master but without it I think most Web 2.0 apps will be ignored by the user base who would actually pay to use them.
Spanning also offers a pretty cool Salesforce.com plugin that sets up custom-filtered RSS feeds from Salesforce to your desktop. Here's a writeup in case you're interested. http://www.undertheradarblog.com/wp_blog.html?fb_2042860_anch=2043673
It's funny that Salesforce.com is so popular BECAUSE it's online (and therefore it's always up to date with the group who uses it) but NO ONE likes logging in to the interface. There are lots of apps in the SF App Exchange that help users avoid the dreaded SF login.
I feel the same way about Google calendars, I hate logging in! Spanning gets it, can't wait to see what they'll sync up next.
