iPhone 4's multiband antenna makes it a true 'world phone' (TUAW.com)
Jun 8th 2010 4:24AM I had video chat (in the UK) on some dreadful Hutchinson 3G phone (6+) years ago - it was dreadful, used it once in a year.
I think FaceTime isn't for calling everyone, it is for calling family and close friends - who else wants to see you, or you them? Mostly you will use it from your home or work (with WiFi), it will look great.
You will also be able to use it from your WiFi enabled hotel when you're abroad, making it a cheap way to keep in contact. Obviously it will work with iChat (+other services) eventually, it will be a huge bonus.
Lastly it doesn't work on 3G, because the 3G networks cannot yet support it - that is the only reason. It is the most popular smart phone, it causes massive bandwidth issues already on existing networks, live video streaming is probably going to take a while.

Apr 5th 2010 5:27PM Why not use Teamviewer - the iPhone app is free ( for non-commerical use)? The cross platform client is free too.

Mar 16th 2009 12:56PM I agree with Kevin, and TUAW are not alone in doing this, but Blog posts sometimes seem to forget the fundamentals, full of links but missing the real details!
Synching iTunes Libraries Take 2: Syncopation (TUAW.com)
Sep 26th 2008 7:04AM I use PowerTunes to share a single library across multiple accounts on the same Mac. This works well, and means either account can add tracks, etc... with them showing up immediatly in either accounts iTunes. However the downside of this is that you can only have one iTunes account, which is annoying if you ave seperate iPhones etc... (PowerTunes solves this by allowing you to switch between whole iTunes folders, obviously a bit of a compromise but there you go.)
The problem with using a single library locaton for a variey of macs, is that adding tacks from one iTunes will not update across all the other iTunes, as iTunes cannot be persuaded to monitor it's own library folder, or in fact any folder. Does anybody know a way of doing this?
Ten great Greasemonkey scripts (Download Squad)
Apr 16th 2007 10:37AM Possibly this is only my issue, but since I started using Firefox 2+ with Greasemonkey, the copy and paste function within the browser has continually messed up - don't know if it was the scripts themselves, or the whole add-on but it was incredibly annoying.
Since I've uninstalled it I seem to have resumed normal service.
