TV 101: Podcasts That Could Be TV Shows (AOL TV)

Apr 8th 2010 11:07AM The funniest thing I read in this (expletive deleted) post was the misuse of the word "explicative." WTF?

Happy birthday, Happy Days - VIDEO (AOL TV)

Jan 15th 2009 9:42AM This is so off-topic but I had to say it...

You kick-started your post with this: "...(cold, because it was pre-global warming)..."

This was also the time that it was pre-The Coming Ice Age. It was right around this time, or shortly thereafter, that Time magazine ran a cover about the impending new ice age that was engulfing the planet. I remember sitting in junior high science classes already shivering in fear of the demise of our planet.

It's good to know that these disaster's -- as well as the Chicken Little's who trumpet their call -- tend to come and go.

Thanks for the memories. Good post

The Mentalist: Red Brick and Ivy (AOL TV)

Dec 17th 2008 9:19AM Wow. So this is what passes for a "good" episode of The Mentalist?

I haven't been watching this show because I've been watching The Biggest Loser. Say what you will about my taste in TV. But I've been wanting to watch The Mentalist, and since I despise grandiose reality TV finalies, I chose to pass on TBL and watch my first episode of TM instead.

This show, beyond being horribly formulaic, seemed preposterous. I didn't see any wonderfully clever mental tricks that led to solving the case. Instead, I saw some stupid Fringe-like psychological experiment that was beyond stupid. And the last act where they trick the bad guy into a confession? Embarrassing.

If last night's show was "no exception" to how great The Mentalist is, may the good Lord forgive us all.

60 Minutes scores with Obama (AOL TV)

Nov 18th 2008 9:55AM This is rich:

"The enthusiasm and excitement for Obama is not unusual when you're talking about a new president. I recall this kind of buzz before Bill Clinton took office in 1993. The Clinton Inaugural even warranted a two-hour TV special that featured a glitzy array of celebrity Friends of Bill, like Barbra Streisand, Aretha Franklin, Fleetwood Mac, Warren Beatty and more."

So we've leapt back in time to note the previous Democrat president. And you've used the word "warranted."

Hmm, now can we finally admit to ourselves that the media does indeed have a bias toward the left?

This is sickening. But don't claim sour grapes...I voted for the Big O (no, not her, the other One).
