del.icio.us gets another redesign (TUAW.com)

Dec 15th 2005 11:55AM That was there prior to the Yahoo! purchase, but only show up when you go to the site when not logged in. I actually like the new colors, and wish the rest of the site would adopt them.

Goowy, a Mac-like Web-based PIM (TUAW.com)

Oct 26th 2005 11:35AM It's very attractive. Just not on an 800x600 setting, which is what my tiny monitor here at work is set to.

Front Row = Apple's big foot in the Media Center door (TUAW.com)

Oct 12th 2005 3:48PM What CenterStage needs to do is focus still on being open source, and work hard on their live TV functions. Ideally they will be able to make CenterStage accept commands from the FrontRow remote. FrontRow is a great stepping stone, but will never integrate live TV functions unless there's a DRM on there somewhere. Even then I'd doubt it'll record live TV, pre-scheduled or otherwise, since they are pimping the iTunes for downloading TV Shows.

New iMac G5 with Frontrow and remote (TUAW.com)

Oct 12th 2005 3:40PM "The simple six-button Apple Remote gives you control over your music, movies and photos from anywhere in the room — and it stows away neatly (and magnetically) on the side of your iMac when not on." Magnets, near a computer? Another first from Apple!

Oct 4th 2005 7:42AM One thing's for sure: if it's a desktop app, it'll be Windows only.

BitPlayer (TUAW.com)

Aug 24th 2005 1:05PM For users who don't need to export into different media type, I think VLC http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ is a much better option. It too has playlist, but can play just about any video file you throw at it.
