Diablo 3 to launch in early 2012, beta period extended (Joystiq)
Sep 23rd 2011 12:38PM It's deja vu all over again. Wasn't it about this time last year we started hearing all the premium Q4 2010 titles start getting pushed into Q1 2011?

Kinect Star Wars and inspired console bundle to miss holiday (Joystiq)
Aug 24th 2011 8:14PM I wouldn't go overboard here. We saw the same thing starting this time last year - a whole boatload of Tier 1 game releases got pushed to 1Q 2011 - this is probably just the first of many.

Telescopic eye implant approved by the FDA (Engadget)
Jul 8th 2010 3:19PM Telescopic eye implant: $15,000
Cochlear ear implant: $100,000
i-Limb Pulse Hand: $75,000
Artificial leg with PowerKnee( x2 ): $250,000
Total of $440,000
Now, factoring inflation: $6,000,000 man (in 1974) in 2009 dollars would be $26,000,000 so you could include the Dean Kamen "Luke" arm ($18.1 Million spent in R&D on it) and still come out with a better deal today.
Yeah, next test plane wreck I get in, I'm shopping NewEgg...

Hulu Plus on Xbox will be a 'custom experience', restricted to Xbox Live Gold members (Joystiq)
Jun 29th 2010 4:10PM @ansalon929
However, my DirecTV is ~$100/mo after taxes, DVR, HD, etc. I don't watch a whole lot of varied programming.
My biggest concern other than specific content would be what would the lag time be between airing and availability on Hulu+
However, if there is enough content between the two services (plus the stuff I can stream from my PC to the 360 via TVersity) that I can drop DirecTV altogether (live sports would be about the only thing I'd miss, but I've got a tv tuner and HDMI out on my laptop so I can manage since I pretty much only watch network sports anyway :) ), $280/yr is MUCH better than $1200/yr, wouldn't you say? :)
