Jan 25th 2008 9:40AM If this car is based on the A4/A5, it isn't really a "version" of the Passat CC, as the Passat uses a completely different platform from the A4 (the Passat uses a transverse engine configuration as opposed to the Audi's longitudinal mount, among other differences). The previous-generation Passat shared its platform with the old A4, but the current models of these cars do not.

Jan 23rd 2008 9:42PM Frick, as Chase pointed out, the links in your second post refer to the previous-generation VW Golf. The new model was released in the US 2006 as the Rabbit (half a year behind the Jetta, which was updated in 2005.5) and has seen improved reliability.

Nov 13th 2007 6:34PM I've been using Parallels since it was released. I run it on a Core Duo iMac (2.16 Ghz, 2GB RAM) and have VMs set up for XP, 98, and Ubuntu. For a while the Parallels video drivers caused 98 to crash on shutdown, but as of Parallels 3 this is fixed. Other than that, no complaints. I haven't tried Fusion, but see no reason to switch at the moment.
