May 21st 2008 7:16AM Not sure why so many people are calling it an Apple TV killer. You're right, there are quite a few things that it doesn't do that the Apple TV does, mainly HD and more current movies. Once it adds those things....then we can talk about it being an Apple TV killer.

Mar 4th 2008 3:14PM I agree. Netflix is the way to go for people with busy schedules. Apple doesn't have to change their pricing but in the meantime, they're alienating a very large audience. I was planning on buying an Apple Tv until I heard about the rental limitations, so I crossed it off my list and just upped the amount of discs I rent on Netflix.

Mar 4th 2008 2:55PM I used to feel the same way as the author when everyone was complaining about the rental times for the Xbox movies. But that was before I met my boyfriend and his two children. Now I completely understand...it's not just a matter of kids getting up after bedtime, it's a matter of being extremely tired after working, making dinner, helping with homework, getting the kids in bed, etc.. It took us four nights to get through Ocean's 13. I've crossed the Apple Tv off my to-buy gadget list because of the rental times and the time it takes to download HD movies. I'll stick with Netflix until the studios can come up with something better.

P.S. Even though it's been said, it's absolutely ridiculous to use the argument that your parents were able to do it, so people today should. Technology is supposed to make things easier...we're not supposed to stand still and never progress.

I think it would make sense for Apple to listen to the parents and not self-proclaimed "non-breeders" like Christina. People with families tend to spend more time in the home where devices like the Apple TV would be used a lot more...plus children are huge consumers of media. Guaranteed, a family with children will spend a lot more money renting cartoons, movies, etc., than someone like Christina (who clearly doesn't understand that the real issue is not just a matter of erratic bedtimes).

Mar 4th 2008 10:21AM After having used the Blackberry 8320 for almost a week, I agree. I've been using WM for the past three years and it's so nice to be able to make phone calls or surf the net without having to reset. I preferred WM over Palm, but now I realize just how buggy WM is.

Mar 4th 2008 10:18AM I just got my Blackberry Curve last week and I have email and Internet without Blackberry Enterprise. You don't have to be a corporate user to take advantage of it....that's well-known. And the icons were "stupid" and "difficult" to figure out? I don't find them any more "stupid" or "difficult" to figure out than the icons on my iPod touch.

I had a Treo 750 and Treo 650 before my Curve and decided to get another phone last week. I briefly considered the iPhone but after realizing that my main concerns were email and texting, I realized that the Blackberry 8320 was cheaper ($49 from Amazon), the monthly plan was cheaper and I would be able to email and text a lot easier on the BB. I've used my iPod touch's keyboard extensively and it's easier with the BB. I absolutely love the Curve and think it's an excellent phone.

Sep 7th 2007 7:54AM @35 - If you weren't so busy foaming at the mouth rushing to bash Apple and Apple "apologists", you would have seen the hundreds of early adopters who have been constantly complaining about the price drop since the second it was announced...in fact, you can find people in the comments STILL complaining about it. Did you not read the letter from Steve Jobs where he said that he got hundreds of complaints from iPhone owners?

Losing potential interest on $100? How much would that add up to over six months or a year? Quit being dramatic.

Jan 23rd 2007 9:26AM @Courtney - I love how you're putting all the blame on S. Rhimes as if she's the person responsible. Has she come out and said she's not concerned about the cast? NO. You have no idea what's going on behind the scenes. You might want to actually form a logical thought before you succumb to those knee-jerk reactions. Do you seriously think that she has the authority to just up and fire him? It's a decision that the execs and the network have to make TOGETHER.
