Hands-on: Blur multiplayer beta (Joystiq)

Mar 8th 2010 11:54PM I have never seen so many fricking people whine about something cool that they're getting for *free*. Take some Xanax or something. Geez.

Final episode of 'Midnight in the Heart of Midlothian' drops on Halo Waypoint tomorrow (Joystiq Xbox)

Feb 5th 2010 3:33PM Two things:

Hinkle, before a much meaner person does it, i'll correct ya ;) It's the UNSC destroyer Heart of Midlothian, not the UNSC ship Destroyer.

And Whocares: You got the joke. The writer of the story (Frankie O'Connor) was born in Edinburgh. Now don't tell anyone ;) He's also the voice of Baird.

Deus Ex 3 PC exclusivity rumored, doubted, dismissed (Joystiq)

Nov 27th 2009 6:38PM For this comment, you are now and forever my favorite person on Stiq. Namely for the use of "quite simple actually if you get the hate-stick out of your anus, some of you..." I shall adopt this phrase and use it in daily life. It sounds almost like what would be a Russian idiom translated to English, such as the German "Du hast ein Vogel". Is that the case? Anyway, I like ya, kid. :)

Pentax's limited edition Korejanai K-x DSLR reminds us of Harlequin VW Golf (Engadget)

Oct 27th 2009 2:46PM FINALLY! Somebody finally fricking got it. Literally translated, "It is not this!" It's a joke toy designed by the (admittedly rather odd) Japanese to simulate the heartbreak of getting a crappy knock-off toy. You kids need to read your old Engadget.

CE-Oh no he didn't! Part XLV: Symbian's Lee Williams rips into Android, implies Google is evil (video) (Engadget)

Oct 27th 2009 2:30PM I call butthurt. Symbian has market share because they were one of the first. No other reason. Not the interface, not the usability, no other reason. Symbian cannot be identified due to its inconsistency. Users are LOOKING for an experience. iPhoneOS, WinMo(ugh) and Android provide that; an experience consistent with a recognizable brand. Lee's talk smacks of a whiny, petulant child who isn't used to being told "no". And rightly so as until quite recently, no one was around to do so. Now there is, and he's scared that the glacier-slow development cycle of Symbian won't be able to keep up. And that is true. They have to learn how to compete, or they will lose. Symbian will lose market share ten to twenty percent a year until they wise up, or they are excised from the market. Simple as that.

Sony Ericsson Q3 slump buoyed by new financing, a rumored November launch for XPERIA X3 (Engadget)

Oct 16th 2009 8:19PM This might be SE's redemption. Their strength used to be in developing hardware, not software. The w580i had a great, snappy OS, but the damn thing fell apart in six weeks flat. Let them use a free OS and concentrate on build quality. Give me an Android phone that will walk all over an iPhone in terms of design and usability. I'm in love with Rachael.

New HP / Vivienne Tam netbook targets 'butterfly lovers,' waifs (Engadget)

Sep 14th 2009 2:01AM Ugh. another glossy piece of HP crap that people will pay too much for just to watch the mobo fry in six months. not looking forward to having to fix these soon... :/
