Japan release of SKYPE was delayed because the microphone did not meat SKYPE Specifications, it did not affect EUR or NA in any way. You don't really need a microphone to use skype unless you want to talk to other people or you can be an EARBUD on skype.

Jan 29th 2008 7:00PM "This 'will make no difference to the European and USA launch, which will coincide with the end of January firmware." The update was supposed to come out on January 27, 2008 yet it wasn't available for download. Where can I download it? I'm in the NA region.

Jan 29th 2008 4:28PM The reason why SKYPE wont work on the old PSP is because of the RAM. The PHAT PSP only has 32 MB of RAM while the 2000 has twice the RAM. PROGRAMS NEED A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF RAM FOR THEM TO RUN! (OTHER WISE IT COULD CRASH YOUR COMPUTER!) Glad I bought the new PSP and not the old one again. LOL sucks for you (2000-)!
