Nov 29th 2010 8:46PM Ya, i agree. When collaborating with Word users it just doesn't make sense to use Pages. But for formatting (figures, text layout) pages is far far far better than Word.

Plus, i love the vector graphics import and export. i don't know if powerpoint has changed, but the older version used to convert PDF to bitmap on copy/paste so they looked terrible. Keynote (and Pages) keep the vector graphics, so scaling works flawlessly.

Nov 10th 2010 6:04PM I used to never turn off my mac mini. I had uptimes of months. But i started traveling more for work and I shut down when i was away to save on electricity. I noticed that my mini actually felt snappier when it was rebooted every week or two.... i know we (mac fanboys) are not supposed to admit it, but ya... rebooting once in a while is good.

For the price they are unbeatable in terms of sound and voice quality. It's nice to have an expensive pair of phones for high quality listening, but the wear and tear on my everyday phones means they only last a year (or so) and $100 is a lot to shell out every year.

Aug 21st 2010 2:32PM Although the rollback isn't "officially" supported it is SO easy.
I did it, and although i do miss my universal inbox i like having a functioning phone better.

The one thing i never tried was to install OS4 from scratch as a new phone. But at this point i'll wait for the software update.

Aug 17th 2010 3:57PM that's a pretty biased view. With all the patent trolls out there, if apple doesn't get a patent for these things someone else will and sue them.

I think the patent system is broken, but until there is a major change all corporations have to protect their IP and bottom line by patenting every little thing they can.
