Aug 10th 2005 1:02PM I'm a happy MythTV user, but the writer's complaint about system shutdown taking longer with BTV installed is a red herring. Why would anyone be shutting down their PVR on a frequent basis? It can't record anything when it's off, it can't download guide updates, and remote scheduling changes can't be made. Extended shutdown or startup times are irrelevant for PVR systems, just as they are for servers.
