Flipping the Linux switch: Linux web tools, Pt. 5 - Readers love editing (Download Squad)

Jul 12th 2008 4:01PM Your very welcome, glad you had a look at Komodo!

Flipping the Linux switch: Linux web tools and HTML editors, Pt. 1 (Download Squad)

Jun 10th 2008 9:02AM You should definately add Komodo Edit to your list to check out. Although its just a text editor, its a fantastic tool for the someone who is working on HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP and pretty much any other language at the same time. My favorite is that it is opensource and completely cross platform, so i can use it at work in Windows and Linux at home, without changing my work flow. It also has firefox style pluggins that you can download to add FTP and various other functionality. Worth a look. http://www.activestate.com/Products/komodo_ide/komodo_edit.mhtml

Open Source tips: alternatives to commercial software website (Download Squad)

May 22nd 2007 5:19PM Great list, although I already knew of most of them. Still having a look through to see if i can find a hidden gem. However if one more person says that the Gimp is a "replacement" for photoshop, im afraid I'll scream. Sure its a great program, but its nowhere near a replacement for Photoshop for expert users.

10 Online TV guides compared (Download Squad)

Apr 5th 2007 2:43PM I personally don't use any of the above services, mainly because I don't care what time the show is on, simply what is on each night. The site that I use is called Calendar for TV (or CAT) @ http://www.pogdesign.co.uk/cat/ Basically it just gives me a rundown of what shows are on what nights, whether or not theres a new episode (it won't list the show if its a repeat) and how long I have to wait until a new episode is on. Also gives me the ability to pick only the shows I watch and disregard any that I don't. It's all i need, and I love it.

The Five: Best characters of 2006 (AOL TV)

Dec 14th 2006 11:11AM I agree with a lot of the choices on here, however i think there's one very important one missing. Who is that? Barney from How I met your Mother. He's sooo freakin.... wait for it.... legendary! :) One of the main reasons i still watch that show (other than the gorgeous Cobie Smulders....).

The Five: Best spaceships on TV (AOL TV)

Jun 20th 2006 9:40AM I can't remember the name of it but those cool white ships the rangers used in Babylon 5... those were always my favorites (actually all the ships on that show were awsome).

Battlestar Galactica: Downloaded (AOL TV)

Feb 26th 2006 10:34AM Just a quick thought... but it seems to me that they are intentionally "forgetting" about Pegasus Six have a nuclear device. I think this is going to play a pivotal role once (and they will) discover that the baby is still alive. Maybe holding Colonial One hostage? Just conjecture on my part... but thats where I think part of this story line is going.

My Name is Earl: The Professor (AOL TV)

Feb 10th 2006 11:15AM The best episode yet! I loved the super-sexy Christine Taylor as the Professor, I hope she returns real soon!
