Xtorrent: A better bittorrent for Mac (Download Squad)
Sep 23rd 2006 2:40PM Xtorrent uses libtransmission as its backend which comes from the FREE and EASY TO USE client Transmission. There are other easy to use clients as well, like Tomato. As for a PC version uTorrent easily outclasses Xtorrent from a feature point of view. Of course it isn't as sexy but that is due to the framework the programmers are given to work with.
Intel Macs can boot from USB drives (TUAW.com)
Feb 9th 2006 9:23AM Booting from USB isn't really that amazing. Now if target disk mode would work on either USB or Firewire that would be excellent. Target disk mode makes imaging machines a breeze and the problem with usb is that the chip is host controlled so maybe they could offload that onto EFI. Any news on that development?
