Nov 17th 2010 9:39AM You can order the white panels as replacement parts from Foxconn. It's a legal loophole - as long as Apple has not paid Foxconn for a part Foxconn has manufactured, it's Foxconn's property. Probably the Apple/Foxconn contract clears this issue, but since Foxconn sells this ware, it seems it doesn't. The EU has still a very strong case against Apple regarding the unfair treatment of several EU member countries, by selectively picking the EU countries where the iTunes store is available or not. By EU law, a service offered by a worldwide company in one EU country must be also offered in all member countries.

However, the point with the fans is - they do not necessarily spin faster. Their diameter is much more important, as they can move much more when the diameter is increased. My Mac Pro doesn't spin 'em faster than 600 rpm, yet everything inside is cool.
