Apple Software Updater won't shove Safari down your throat anymore (Download Squad)

Apr 18th 2008 3:43PM hahaha this is absolutely ridiculous. It's just as bad they didn't do anything. They need to uncheck that little box by safari. Typical arrogance from Apple.

Thunderbird 2.0 due out this month (Download Squad)

Apr 6th 2007 8:40AM Does anyone know if this version will check my hotmail or windows live mail account? That is the only reason I'm clinging to outlook express.

Feb 25th 2007 12:50PM you are gods for finding this for me!

Steve Jobs flips 180 on DRM (Download Squad)

Feb 7th 2007 12:25PM Hmm sounds like good news. If he is in fact being truthful and not trying to save his hide from the European Union countries suing him for interoperability issues of his drm'ed music. Now all we need is itunes to start offering higher bitrate or lossless music without drm. That would be awesome! Are record companies and the RIAA going to realize DRM doesn't work though? Here's hoping that they do.

Parallels to let you run OS X on a non-Mac box? (Download Squad)

Jan 22nd 2007 11:00PM why would apple want their superior running os running on a supposedly "inferior" PC. Apple is mainly in the computer hardware business. Having OS X on a pc would kill off all of the mac computer lines because macs are more expensive then pcs. Why buy a mac laptop when you can buy a normal laptop for roughly 300 dollars less? On the flip side I would love to have both windows XP and OS X on my laptop but however it happen isn't going to be apple sanctioned and they are going to prevent that at all costs.

Moving iTunes (music and library data) to a new machine (Download Squad)

Jan 17th 2007 7:33PM wow that was certainly an enlightened first comment. another way (if you have a small library) or you have dvd's to waste go to file > backup to disk. A 3rd way is to use a 3rd party program that allows you to go from the ipod to the computer and reverse sync from your ipod to the new computer.

Safari browser to come to Windows? (Download Squad)

Jan 13th 2007 5:33PM forget having safari on windows what about legally allowing mac os X to run on windows boxes. I don't think that'll ever happen but it would be pretty dang sweet. Firefox is awesome and does a better job than safari ever will.
