Sep 15th 2008 2:41PM I'd say, if your home is your only 'main base' - all you should surely ever need is a netbook... I don't need to get down to any hardcore gaming on a plane / train or you're in a hotel room for a few days. If you have several main bases then I can see the need for a larger laptop that can do more.

I'm surprised no-one thought to invent netbooks earlier to be honest...
