Steven Levy of Newsweek posts video review of Leopard (TUAW.com)

Could widgets find their way onto Facebook? (Download Squad)

Apr 19th 2007 7:33AM I think this is a much needed feature. They can easily control the content. How about an "Add widget" feature, where you can either enter your flickr/twitter username. Limit it to specific services and avoid myspace-messiness

iPhone Will Not Allow User Installable Applications (TUAW.com)

Jan 10th 2007 7:51AM I agree with most comments here, people are complaining an awfull lot concerntrating on what the device doesn't or may not do. You are all forgetting how much of a leap of technology this really is. As Steve said, the iPhone is going to do to the telecommunications market as the iPod did to the music industry.

I for one have faith in the device. This is an early demo and i'm sure more functionality will be revealed closer to launch, they still have a while yet. With regard to the installing applications, for me it would make sence for Apple to create an SDK but then create a system where downloads and installations came only through Apple and they had the final say as to what was included. This allows them to monitor the software being installed and check its functionality and performance doesn't degrade the phone.

One more point thats narked me is the support for other countries. They have signed a deal with Cingular but there is no mention as to how the device will work on another network. I'm from the UK and have been putting up with a half-broken phone for about 4 months in anticipation of this device, I will continue to wait but I'm interested on UK pricing/deals/networks(carriers).

Sorry for the rant.
