Nov 12th 2008 9:00AM I'll just point out another handy tip.If you've authorized a computer, and then reinstalled OS X / Windows but forgot to deauthorize your computer before the reinstall, you can still deauthorize it through iTunes as if you hadn't reinstalled.I managed to deauthorize one machine 3 times just by repeatedly going to deauthorize in the store menu three times.
Jun 2nd 2008 9:48PM I'm in the UK and experiencing the same issues.I'm not sure it's *really* an internationalized service in the same way Yahoo is.
Jun 2nd 2008 9:42PM Whoopee...The new name(s) (MobileMe, Me) are pretty crappy and now we have to put up with this ridiculous downtime without any warning or any reasonable response from Apple, and we're the one's paying them for this "service".Not impressed Apple. Sure there are those people who are having heart palpitations at the mere thought of an overhaul to the service, but personally, I would like to be able to check my email. Clearly I'm asking a little too much.Sure, I use Apple hardware and software, and most of the time enjoy using them (in the items i've purchased that haven't had physical issues...not many) but is the standard level of secrecy really necessary for a bit of an (overdue) upgrade for what is really just an email/gallery/sync service.Just release it, and get it working please :)
Feb 15th 2008 4:46AM I'm with my fellow European's here. For the first time we get something pretty cool come to Europe first! And it's actually something I can use!Looking forward to being able to give it a try :)
Feb 13th 2008 7:56PM If you are on a mac there is a utility called MetaX. It's free and allows you to edit all the information for films, tv episodes, music video's etc and can pull the info from IMDB, Amazon etc.The site is: http://www.kerstetter.net/page53/page54/page54.htmlI've been using it for quite a while and definitely the best of all the one's I've tried.
Feb 13th 2008 7:50AM Well i have to say that from what I have read, I am very disappointed with this update. I've not tried it yet but one of the things I was looking forward to was being able to browse my movies by Genre, and presumed that I would be able to do the same for TV Show's.Now I'm reading that you can only browse by Genre in the rental section which is ridiculous. Why put it in one place and not the other. So now I have to continue scrolling through an ever growing list to find what I want to watch. Sure, they might add it in the next update, but that'll probably be another age away.Another thing. It should be an option as to whether to prioritise already owned content or rentals/online stuff. I'm in the UK and we can't get rentals, we can't buy films, and our range of TV shows is crap, not to mention we pay 2-3 times more than our US counterparts, so there's no way I'd want to have all that online stuff prioritised.Hopefully someone will come out with a hack or something soon adding some better way's to browse content otherwise I'll end up rolling back.Very disappointed Apple.
Feb 11th 2008 10:37PM 180mb update on latest mac mini here. With regards to any problems with 10.5, the only one I have come across is the Photoshop CS3 problem. I didn't even realise it was widespread until I read the comments here.Looking forward to the Apple TV update and maybe sometime being able to sync notes from my iPhone to Mail but I won't hold my breath!

Jan 10th 2007 6:30AM I am also from the UK.I saw that the Apple TV is available to buy (shipping in feb) in the UK, however as mentioned above, we are severly limited as to what we can buy. As in we can only buy Music and Music Video's (And the short animations, but I won't be getting an Apple TV just for that!).I can go to Direct2Drive and download a good range of TV Show's and Films legally, and with the current exchange rate its actually working out very well. The other downside is that Apple TV will of course be using Quicktime to play back video and music, which means a lot of other video's I have won't play in Quicktime due to the lack of a vaigly decent range of video codecs. They are heading towards more of a Consumer market and I just hope that they continue producing the machines and OS into the future. The machines are good (I would say great but the fact you have a choice of 2 graphics cards, neither of which are that fantastic for the top iMac which I'm after) and the OS is fantastic and it would be a shame to see them drawn into churning out more consumer products over computers, such as washing machines and hoovers ;)
