Opera 10.5 hits beta, still faster than Google Chrome (Download Squad)

Feb 11th 2010 11:56PM I don't know how valid the old argument is about webdesigners being too lazy to test their creations with something that is more web standard compliant than Firefox...

btw: street view seems to work for me at least (Opera 10.10, win32)

Nokia cuts market share targets as Q2 profits plummet (Engadget Mobile)

Universal != one Engadget review...hardly even a subset for that matter XD

Symbian's Horizon: one app store to rule them all? (Engadget Mobile)

Jul 17th 2009 8:36AM It's not another app store: this is a boost to the process for symbian developers to get their apps out there. From Symbian point of view, every single app store for symbian apps is relevant, whether it's Nokia's Ovi or Samsung's app store. Dec 2nd 2008 10:22AM Engadget last month: "... and the "Eitri," a monster QWERTY candybar with a 640x350 display and 5-megapixel camera..."

So, I wouldn't say that Engadget got it right...

iPhone 3G reception woes unfixable? Maybe, maybe not (Engadget Mobile)

Nokia's N79, N85, and XpressMedia 5800 "Tube" exposed? (Engadget Mobile)

Yes, intelligent engadget readers do get it right, however, they are too far and between ;)

Stylus is kinda bitchy, but I think in certain kind of applications it's pretty much irreplaceable because of the precision it offers. If a touch UI system only relies on hand operation, it limits the usability of some applications...of course this is obvious when e.g. common operations require stylus operation. So i'd say that in the spirit of mobile computers -idea, the stylus good addition...but it should be an addition to tackle stylus sensitive needs.

The Apple store is down (Engadget)

Go figure? I guess you need a analogy to see the point:
People who don't like radio adds tend to b**ch about them, especially if when there's train load of coming from the radio.

I propose that Weblogs Inc. makes a applefanboy -newsblog. This 'There might be something perhaps possibly coming your way' type of "news" could be posted there.

...just a thought.
