AT&T relents a little, lets iPhone 3G customers with upcoming upgrade dates buy 3G S at full subsidy (Engadget)

Jun 17th 2009 4:41PM Well damn. Figures my upgrade isn't until OCTOBER!! GRRRR.

Firefox 3 basically finished for Windows/Linux, a few more fixes for Mac (Download Squad)

Jun 12th 2008 7:50AM I'd say linking to the Developer's blog and not the Twitter of it is better so here it is: http://developer.mozilla.org/devnews/index.php/2008/06/11/coming-tuesday-june-17th-firefox-3/

June 17th folks!

Supercharge your file renaming tasks with WildRename (Download Squad)

Apr 30th 2008 3:55PM Another great renamer program is Flash Renamer, although it's not free. It's worth it though. It has lots of other features like auto-naming MP3 files from ID3 tags, and other cool stuff like that.

Firefox 3 beta 5 released (Download Squad)

Apr 2nd 2008 4:01PM New beta doesn't support Adblock yet as said previously. Actually it doesn't support much of anything right now.

All I've got that works right now that I use is PDF Download, IE Tab, Hide Menubar, User Agent Switch, Download Statusbar, & ChromEdit Plus.

Kind of odd seeing ads on the page w/out my trusty Adblock!

Arkansas school has an 11-year-old IT department -- no, really, an 11-year-old (Engadget)

Mar 31st 2008 6:25PM I thought it was in Alabama, not Arkansas?

Leopard delayed until October (Download Squad)

Apr 13th 2007 11:59AM Wow, that is pretty sad. No wonder they charge out the ass for their computers because they must be paying those development team guys out the ass to work on several projects at once (or at least they ought to be). That's pretty sad. You think they could afford to hire some decent help for other projects unless it's like a matter of confidentiality or something and not wanting too many people in on it for whatever reason...I figure, it's just a damn phone.

Adobe CS3 pricing, high as usual (Download Squad)

Mar 28th 2007 6:40PM so i wonder what the difference is with the photoshop cs3 and photoshop cs3 extended? i think design premium is good for lots of people, or web premium if you don't need indesign and need contribute & fireworks.

Vista Ultimate Giveaway winners speak their minds (Download Squad)

Mar 19th 2007 3:49PM first thing you do with vista [if you're computer savvy] is turn off UAC. then go to the Security Center and change how it notifies you about it not being on so it doesn't bug you about not being enabled [as if you didn't disable it in the first place]. of course you need to make sure you know what you're doing and not download harmful crap. in that case, the only really great thing about vista is the visual stuff since the security stuff was supposed to be its biggest selling point. the sidebar is handy if you take advantage of it. everything is all mixed up in the control panel that for some reason M$ can't stop f***ing with. there are still lots of bigs to work out, but it has some potential.

for me, i stick w/ XP x64 for now. we'll see about Vista after SP1 comes out, along with a price drop maybe...we may be waiting a few years on that though.

Win a copy of Vista Ultimate (Download Squad)
