Not quite 101 uses for dryer lint (DIY Life)

Jul 30th 2007 4:18PM firestarters

take old cardboard egg cartons and dryer lint and wax
a little lint in each egg space
pout in some melted wax
let harden
brake into individual egg pieces
use two per fire with start your grill (charcoal only of course)
light the carton edge with your lighter and watch it get your dinner started

much cheaper than standard firestarters and doesn't effect the taste of the food

Dev Chair : Why is Safari on Windows? (Download Squad)

Jun 12th 2007 11:04AM no sdk, its unneeded just like the wii the iphone will only be open via the web (though I'm sure it'll be hackable via safari security holes) flash on this platform will be great only if its the latest version... and only if it is setup like flash is set in ie (click to enable) otherwise i could see the phone crashing regularly from ad heavy pages... as you said the real reason for safari on windows is for iphone devs. now you can test that web app in safari before june 29 and get your app running perfect in time for the release... should be interesting to see this move away from apple and mac specific developers to a wider array of web devs

that is why everyone is complaining about the sdk... this move means a new set of developers gets a real chance at a platform and that platform is inherently more open that the mac

May 14th 2007 5:37PM while an art student at Mississippi State whole classes of us would do this in the dumpsters behind the architecture building because they had to use new materials in every project, but art students got better grades for reuse of pristine wood in our scultures

Starbucks in the French Quarter? (Slashfood)

May 9th 2007 1:23PM there is a difference between a starbucks in the french quarter and a starbucks on jackson square in the heart of the french quarter... of course it would be replacing a 23 yr old houston based francise (La Madeline) and would be down the square from what used to be (i think) a ben and jerry's

May 9th 2007 1:04PM has anyone installed this yet? any issues? I tend to wait on office updates for a while (at least the past year or so) cause I lost my install disk in hurricane katrina and can't afford to need to re-install (thank goodness I waited on installing that bad update way back)
