Don't forget the used car option (Autoblog)

Jun 23rd 2006 4:53PM Keep in mind this article is from the Chicago Tribune. Vehicles in that type of environment rust and wear fairly quickly. That has to factor into the longevity and value formulas of used vs new.

The most I have ever paid for a vehicle was 9k - and that was a huge splurge to get something fun. ALl of my previous vehicles were under 5k and over 100k miles. I have not had a major mechanical failure in 15 years of driving used vehicles with well over 100k on the odos.

Oh by the way, Hondas.

Ask Download Squad: What media player(s) do you use? (Download Squad)

Oct 17th 2005 3:59PM On a fresh system I install the following to cover most media that comes my way: -real and quicktime alternative for the codecs -divx and xvid codecs -VLC media player for video. -WinDVD for DVD's I used to use WinAMP for everything, but I decided to try out the open source alternatives. When at home, I generally use Xbox Media Center to watch or listen to media since the nice TV is in the living room.

Sep 16th 2005 2:28PM Is everyone else getting this to install? For me it just unpacks and hangs in memory with no istall UI. Bummer, it looks like it might be pretty fun.
