TUAW takes Sleeve360 iPad case for a spin -- literally (TUAW.com)

Jan 11th 2011 10:38AM As a project manager/web developer whose business is becoming more iPad & app focused it is clear how I will use this: to demonstrate to clients and co-workers exactly how new sites/apps will appear or currently appear during development.

Presentations of websites and apps would become significantly easier, and a bit more fun, with this case since they would no longer require passing around the iPad so everyone can see for themselves.

ThinkGeek's iCade gaming cabinet for iPad moves closer to reality (TUAW.com)

Jan 11th 2011 10:32AM the moment I saw this on ThinkGeek as an April Fool's joke (and had to explain to a co-worker it wasn't real) I have prayed they would make one... I have been super excited since I saw the story from CES and plan on buying one as soon as they're available.

iPodMeister gives you an iPad for your old CDs (TUAW.com)

Mar 22nd 2010 12:04AM people tell me they're getting rid of all of their CDs all the time and I always say the same thing: "Don't be f@#king stupid, never get rid of sourced disks because you're going to have to re-rip those CDs again."

When I explain this - that they'll want to go to higher bitrates, or their computer crashes and they lose everything, or another format comes along - the look on their face is always the same: "I didn't think this through, I almost did something really, really stupid"

Don't ever get rid of your CDs people: you're going to need them.

A Daily Show: January 28, 2008 - VIDEO (AOL TV)

Jan 29th 2008 9:54PM Uh, who am I? Just someone who lives in Hollywood and who has lots of family & friends in the industry: folks that create, write and act on shows you watch. NO JOKE.

Are your friends & family on strike? No, well mine are and this comes straight from them.

And yes, I do know folks who write for Colbert/Stewart (yes, even thought they're in NYC). Wouldn't have mentioned it if I didn't.

A Daily Show: January 28, 2008 - VIDEO (AOL TV)

Jan 29th 2008 10:48AM I am sure someone has posted about this but Stewart & Colbert are now seen as stabbing the writers in the back and, apparently, are in a lot of trouble with the WGA since it is obvious that they are writing. It is a BIG topic of conversation amongst the striking writers and the writers for both shows feel very betrayed.

It started when Stewart came back and instead of supporting the strike was seen as bashing the writers, especially the first night... and that was completely unexpected. Since then it is completely obvious that the shows are scripted and that strike guidelines are not being followed.

The WGA realizes that they were seen as over-reacting when it became clear that Jay Leno has scab writers (Jay has always been a "company man" and, despite his enormous porn habit, is clearly pretty conservative) but expect there to be repercussions for Stewart, his players & Colbert.

It's another year for P.J. Franklin and her Boys (AOL TV)

Sep 12th 2007 6:42PM 1 more thing: the writers & cast may have seen this as a 2nd season, but the network didn't and they're the ones that matter. The second round of shows just rounded out season 1.

It's another year for P.J. Franklin and her Boys (AOL TV)

Sep 12th 2007 6:40PM The reason the writers seem to understand that friend dynamic is because they're all friends: Betsy, Adrian, Ethan, Brando (the original & model), Courtney, Stegs... all friends in real life. They're even friends with the cast. It all works and everyone is happy.

I could spill who is on the plane with PJ, but I won't...

Amazon and Google both want you to want e-books (Download Squad)

Sep 6th 2007 11:11AM There is almost nothing I want more in this world technology-wise than an 'eBook' and, I fear, it will never be done correctly until Apple does it (and I say that even after yesterday's uber-confusing releases).

Seriously, how hard can this be to do? Just say "What would Steve Jobs & Team do?" and go from there. have you ever tried to use Sony's HORRIBLE portable 'Reader'... what idiots.

>sigh< someone just copy the size of a 'Pad' from Star Trek and go from there. Can't be that hard.

Painkiller Jane -- an early look (AOL TV)

Apr 9th 2007 2:34PM Well to be fair Painkiller Jane has been around a lot longer than Heroes:the show is based on the comic book... which I don't think anyone ever really read. I don't know anyone that did. The powers folks exhibit in heroes are pretty well tread themselves (hey, not slagging them: comics do it too).

It should be readily apparent to everyone that SciFi has almost no idea what constitutes a show worth making and what they should be showing. Hell, they can't even edit Doctor Who for american TV correctly.

Doctor Who: Smith and Jones (AOL TV)

Apr 2nd 2007 11:11AM Love love love Doctor Who... and thank the sweet zombie jesus for the magic of the internets and being able to torrent through its tubes & pipes.

Don't care that we already know the Master will return, just looking forward to more David Tennant Doctor Who-ey goodness.

+ there are probably at least 2 other time lords still alive: Susan & the Rani. I would kill for the return of Susan.

I also submit this: the Doctor & Co. (Hartnell era) watching the Beatles on TV... and their predictions are pretty spot on... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6UkbNlTAIPI&NR
