iPad 2 impressions: Chris Rawson (TUAW.com)

Mar 25th 2011 3:14PM It's nice and all to talk about zen-like experiences and such, but what do you actually do with it? I'm not saying that for every application there exists a device that does it better than iPad. I'm asking what applications do you find work better on iPad than anywhere else? I'm guessing viewing photos and videos/TV are probably primary applications?

Muscle System Pro II shows the great potential of iPad apps (TUAW.com)

Mar 25th 2011 2:52PM I'd say this app would be more powerful on a desktop and not on a tablet. With the better screen and a keyboard I'm thinking the interaction with the app improves when migrated to a desktop environment.

Tablets are the future of computing? A significant niche of computing, I would agree. The future of computing? I wouldn't take it that far.

Microsoft attacks OpenOffice.org and open source with a damning video (Download Squad)

Oct 15th 2010 5:02PM You're right Microsoft, I wouldn't use OpenOffice at work. However, I do use OpenOffice at home, and for my parents, and for my in-laws.

Oh...and there's Google Docs.

Jun 10th 2010 9:55AM @Richard:

As the American credit crisis and meltdown showed, ability to spend money has little correlation with being rich. In fact, more often than not they are inversely related.

So it's likely more accurate to say that Mac owners are poorer, because they bought Macs.

Analysis of 32 MILLION breached passwords shows people use stupid passwords (Download Squad)

Jan 21st 2010 1:15PM This posting is misleading. It does not address the key issue of what the password is protecting. If this was a test of bank account passwords, it would be worrying. However, they tested Rockyou.com accounts? Who cares if someone breaks into your rockyou.com account?

This is not like securing your front door with duct tape. This is like securing your tree house door with duct tape. There's a big difference.

Review: 2009 Nissan Cube S is unbalanced, in a good way (Autoblog)

Jun 22nd 2009 4:26PM For me, this is about function over form. The cube is tempting me because it is offering the following:

* hatchback functionality
* great rear legroom
* dynamic stability control
* side air bags
* standard comfort (cruise control, iPod connectivity, A/C, remote entry)

Give me another vehicle with that list of features at the same price point?
