How do you make subtitles appealing to kids these days? (Cinematical)
Feb 5th 2006 12:42PM Hey Martha. Actually they don't need to do anything to the movie, the subtitles are already like that.
I saw the movie back in November and one of the really nice things about it is how the subtitles interact with both the mood of the film and also the picture. It's a really nice touch and makes you feel as though they are a part of the film rather than something just tagged on the end.
After all if you think about it the music interacts with the film, so why not subtitles?
It works really well and adds to the film, there's nothing overdone about it, so you can rest happy.
IBM to OS/2: "so long, and thanks for all the fish" (Download Squad)
Jul 16th 2005 3:50AM Having worked with the team who built a banking system on OS/2 for one of the top 5 world Banks, I'm a big fan. It was so easy to customise and especially easy to debug. If something went wrong with a Server and it locked up, you just plugged a laptop in the serial and you could connect to the Kernel, amazing. It was, and has been for a long time, more robust and more secure than Windows. Only now has that very Bank moved to Windows. Now I'm not talking ATM's here, I'm talking about the front end Teller systems, when you talk to a member of staff and they type on a PC, that's the system. There are still many Banks that use OS/2 to run their Banking infrastructure, major ones too.
